Kiko alonso and Mario williams traded. Damn how do I miss these guys

Sorry. I had no idea you'd be interested. I posted him name up in the trade block thread and got a few late bites.

Also, every team must be under the salary cap by the tender deadline.

And a reminder, SoF and depth chart must be posted to participate in FA

Anyone want to secure Demarcus Ware before the mad rush of pass rushers happens? I guarantee they'll go for hire than Ware's base salary and he was a premiere player in the playoffs.

Someone answer a question for me. When I was looking at a depth chart of the Broncos, they didn't have their reserve/future players listed on it, but when I look at Spotrac for my depth chart, these players count toward the cap, even if it is only .5 stars. In this situation, since I have 50 on my depth chart, do they count toward my cap savings if cut or do they not because they're reserve future?

If they are listed on there, they would count for savings.  They're all officially on rosters as of Monday (2/8) as well.

When the player is placed on reserve/retired list, is the cap savings base salary or cap hit minus dead money?

Cap hit minus dead money.  Same as a cut or trade.

Broncos only signed their reserve future guys today, so they shouldn't be on your roster for the game.

Some teams signed another slew of reserve/future guys back in January.  The Panthers had 7 or 8, I believe signed.  I assume those are the ones he is talking about.  All of the guys listed above are likely PS guys and would be considered ERFAs.

Yeah, Spotrac has them, so that's what I was unsure about. When I went to Wikipedia, they were listed as being on the Broncos (and Wikipedia is usually really good about switching the status of players). It'll just free up like 2-3 stars if I cut a few of them that I don't foresee actually making a real roster.

By the way, thank you for the answer. I wasn't sure whether I should actually treat them as active roster players or not.

The Jags give P Bryan Anger the transition tag (2.5 stars). Keep the wolf pack together.

Could've had Russell Wilson...

If only I were the GM that year. ;)

Actually I don't think he'd have done so well had he gone to Jacksonville instead of Seattle's stacked roster, but that's a different discussion.

When a player is cut the base salary and roster bonus are subtracted from cap correct??

When a player is cut the Total Cap Hit - dead cap = amount saved.      If you were to do a special cut or post June 1 (one available per team, then  you can take the amount of the base salary without having any dead cap come into play.

You subtract the cap hit minus the dead money, if that makes sense. The base salary is when you take on a player's contract in a trade, or do the special June 1 cut.

*NOTE: ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE THEIR CORRECT SoF AND DEPTH CHART POSTED TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY PART OF THE GAME.

We have been a bit lax on this so far but there are a few SOF posts that are half done along with others that have yet to be posted. Depth charts need to be updated as well. If you have questions, send someone a PM
