Figure this may be an interesting question. What pick was the biggest heartbreak for everyone this year? Who was the prospect that got away?

That's a great question. I consciously reached as I normally do so I didn't have many near-misses personally that I was in love with, but I had my eye on Karl Joseph, Joshua Garnett, Isaac Seumalo when they were close my selection. I unsuccessfully attempted to trade up for Sheldon Rankins and Robert Nkemdiche at some points in time. Would probably roll with Rankins based on value at the time. What about you?

I actually got who I wanted for the most part although I only had 4 picks so it wasn't hard. Ended up with my guy in Fuller, moved up to get Brothers, got a developmental DE in Onyemata, and Will Anthony who I liked from the Navy games I saw. The one that hurt most to me was actually a player you took in Jatavis Brown who I was eyeing with my comp in the 6th. Not a perfect player but he made his share of plays and I liked him a bit in the NFLPA Bowl.

But no, on a serious note, sorry about that. I wasn't aware of him until he was mentioned by Josh Norris, who's admirably backed unconventional names, and I liked what I saw in the only game that was readily available. He's slight, but the workout numbers were impressive. A mid-4.4 with 33 reps of 225 and a solid 10-yard split of 1.53. I unfortunately only read about what he did at the NFLPA game and the reports were definitely encouraging. There are certainly cons to his game, but he could push for playing time as a Will in my eyes. By the way, where did you catch the aforementioned game? Is it still available to view?

I saw the NFLPA Bowl on TV when it was on although I think there was a youtube video of the game out there

I was trying hard to move up for Charone Peake but I couldn't get anyone to move back. I even had a better offer than an accepted trade but the guy didn't check his PMs for a couple of hours before the trade was posted and confirmed.

I may not have gotten Peake, but at least I still have Josh Norman unlike the real Panthers.  Just crazy.

I actually had a charmed life this time around. The only guy I desperately wanted to fall to me was Vonn Bell, who got taken by the Texans two or three picks ahead of my 3rd rounder. What made it worse was that my back-up was Shilique Calhoun, who the Panthers had taken shortly before that. But I got Kyler Fackrell out of that pick instead, and Kevin Byard (who, in my view, isn't dramatically worse as a prospect) nearly two rounds later, so overall I'm not complaining about how that worked out.

The other prospect that "got away" was Jalen Ramsey, who had leapfrogged Bosa to #2 on my board.

Wow! It's also somewhat lost money in a way for Carolina since most of the marquee FA names have already been signed, and this is money that would've been available next offseason in the same capacity. I wonder if he threatened to sit out if a long term deal wasn't reached. Regardless, this is a player who you'd simply expect them to make room for. He was positively lethal last season and is squarely in the prime of his career.

There were two guys I really wanted and I got one, just wasn't brave enough to wait for him to slide down. The other one was Javon Hargrave.

I guess we're waiting on after the draft for DAF

I've heard that we had to, so yes.

Got my general big board done. only about 10-20 players for each position, so it probably wont be enough to get through the entire draft, but it should be good for a decent chunk of it.
