Coming up on 8 yrs

I just was looking at my profile and saw that it will be 8 years in aug. So much has happened since then. Time has flown by and members have changed but the site has remained great. I'm happy and proud to be a member of the best board I ha e ever been on. 

Any memories anyone care to share?

A lot has changed in 8 years for sure, I still remember the lead-up to the Super Bowl. I was heavy into Redskin territory at the time and everyone around me was pumped up on RG3, this board was my outlet and connection to the team.

 

It was the same day - January 6th - that Ray Lewis made his triumphant return and victory lap around M&T that RG3's knee collapsed at Fed Ex Field. Fortunes rise and fall.

 

This board has always been that outlet for me, I'm even deeper in Redskin country now and you guys are the some of the best Ravens fans I know.

If you have kids it goes double time, I'm still in mourning the loss of J lot it still feels last year  and Joe Flacco is 31 with 8 years in the league.

I hear it and feel the same pain you are in being in Ravens country.  I live in Germantown and grew up in Bethesda. 

This board is a fantastic outlet and a wealth of knowledge!  Now can the Skin fans say they are knowledgeable about the game or have a great stadium.  Absolutely NOT!

This...........2008, going to the games with my sons and the hope that went with having Joe under center. Seemslike just a couple of years ago.  Hard to believe he's going into his 9th year.

Ugh time flies.  I joined days after the divisional loss to the Colts in 10 and earned my first warning points VERY QUICKLY.

 

Fun times.  4th and 29 I remember some very NSFW language at the bar when I saw Flacco dump it off.  The 11 season was some of the best and worst moments in one season.  MNF loss to the Jags, season sweep of the Steelers and arguably one of our best teams losing in horrific fashion.  Then to come back next year and tear down the Pats.  There was also... I want to say the Ray Lewis thread, where I saw a -150 comment.  Most negs I had seen.  One thing I miss os Perks weekly videos.  I think he did it in 11 which happened to be the first real season when I started posting and it was a fun.  Good times though.

Yup, time flies when you're having fun. Or as one frog said to another, time's fun when you're having flys.

 

But yeah there have been some great moments on here for sure

 

I remember we had Denver after our bye week one year, and that was easily the most we've been trolled ever. Two solid weeks hearing about how Kyle Orton and Knowshawn Moreno were going to pummel us...pretty sure we beat them 60-10 or something rediculous lol.

Im curious if you can remember the comment that got that many negs?

Also some memories:

The Viking game with what, 4 TDs scored in about 2 minutes, one of the most insane things ive ever seen.  Clutch Marlon Brown lol

The Pats playoff game where we destroyed them.  First play of the game Rice goes for 83 yards.  Flacco threw the ball like 12 times lol

The Ngata hit on, I think Mendenhall maybe, where he blew up the line, drilled the RB, Forced fumble and recovered it....amazing
