No Jonathan Bullard? If we were to go DE he'd be a nice 2nd rd imo.

Btw anyone care to explain why Kevin Dodd is now so highly ranked? One game against Bama doesn't define a player and I didn't see anything special when watching his tape...

Bullard looks extremely pedestrian to me. I just don't see anything appealing there.

Dodd looks like a natural fit for a 34 and could be the better player on clemsons edge, he's always been highly touted as a 2nd rounder but the playoff run opened some eyes, I personally have Always preferred him to shaq for us and I'm glad to see him getting spotlight now

Also read must have slipped through the cracks. I meant to put him in There for sure lol.

At a quick glance I think I'd drop him in between Shepard and Calhoun at the top of tier 5. I do like him as a 3-4 end for us and I think He would compliment our current rotation very well. I could find and round picks I like more but I don't hate that as an option

The English major in me is going crazy and you're certainly not the only one but it's complement not compliment! It's also WR corps not core!!!

These two things drive me crazy for some reason.

Reed is more impressive than Robinson to me, at least as an overall player.  Robinson does have some insane athleticism but Reed seems to do it all very well.  He's much more polished.

There was a play in the Senior Bowl where he chased Wentz down to the sideline which was pretty impressive.

OK, I'll forgive you!

I'm not an English major either, it was more of a joke than anything, lol. Not that there's anything against English majors, but that's not something I see a ton of value. Anyway, different topic entirely.

He did weigh in at 259 at the senior bowl so I will give him the benefit of the doubt there but he struggled a bit in senior bowl practices. Wasn't terrible but if I am getting an ILB to pair with Mosley, I'd be wanting a guy who was better there like Daryl Smith a couple years ago.

I think he beefed up on request because team(s) wanted to see him at OLB

Bosa, Ramsey, Tunsil, Buckner and Fuller, Apple, Billings, Jack, Jaylon Smith, Noah Spence. Of these players if we can land one among the first 4 in Round 1 and 1 among the rest in round 2 I'll be thrilled. However, for that to happen with any degree of certainty we may have to trade up in the 2nd, but crazier things have happened.

You slept on Sua Cravens. He should be in one of those tiers.

Ehh I'm not a fan, I think he's a late 2nd type of guy I just don't know if his style of play holds much value anymore. Safeties who play as an extra linebacker are played out, bucannon and chancellor have great coverage skills and that sets them apart, but I don't see that same coverage ability from cravens.

I also don't like him specifically for us at all, he doesn't have a place in this team as it looks right now

That's interesting. I think his style is exactly what the doctor ordered. I believe the hybrid/dual purpose player will never be overrated. After looking/listening to the FO and their mandate for turnovers, can do more then one thing i.e. special teams, etc, I think he's a can't miss. But I respect your viewpoint.

I love hybrid players but I don't like a db who only performs well against the run lol. He can be a good addition for teams who need some big beef, but we have plenty of those kinds of guys and we desperately need some true coverage db's with range and explosiveness.

From what i've seen of his film he looks the part. I can't count how many interceptions i counted. And like you stated the run stopping is un deniable. He seems to be very instinctive and diagnoses plays very well. His tackling is solid and seems to be around the ball or play consistently. He'd be a nice addition to the squad since no currently on our roster seems to know how get there hands on a ball with any consistency. Most mocks have him going to the Steeler's. If he's good enough for them then he's dam sure good enough for me. lol

We'll agree to disagree on this one.

He may not be ideal deep cover but dude is a playmaker in more ways than just vs. run. You are underrating him, I think.

I agree I think Jack is more talented but scheme wise I think the Ravens would rather go Ragland. Neither are worth the #6 pick in my opinion. I know a lot of fans do not want us to trade back but if Tunsil, Bosa, Ramsey, or Buckner are not there I think trading back may give us a better way of getting multiple talents. I see those four as the only 4 I see worth a 6th pick.

I 100% agree with those 4, pre combine being worthy of #6 pick. Ideally trading with philly or LA would get us a 2nd dr pick and in position to nab Spence, HG3, Billings, Ragland, Alexander or Treadwell. We will see. I pray we get one of those 4 and trade back into the first to get Spence or Smith. Defense would be ascending upward quick.

The Jaylon Smith stock is perhaps the most interesting one to watch in the draft. Pre-injury he is top 3, but are teams willing to roll the dice in Rd1? With the way surgeons are these days, a knee injury can be recovered from in a year.
