Who Is Going To Pittsburgh Vs. Ravens Playoff Game?

75 posts in this topic

This is going to be the one stadium that we probably won't have a heavy presence at.

We did an outstanding job in both Miami and Tennessee, but Pittsburgh is a different story. Not only is that city an undesirable location to visit, but the Steelers fans do not part with their tickets easily.

Hopefully our fans prove me wrong, but Heinz Field is tough.

Personally, I'm waiting until we make it to the Super Bowl and I'll take a nice little vacation down to Tampa.

Not me. The fact is I think the Ravens want it more then Pittsburgh. We are TIRED of being the underdog and having nobody take us seriously. You really think the Steelers will beat us 3 TIMES in one season with so much on the line? Im not looking for my ravens to dissapoint. They know the Steelers TOO well to let them win a game of such importance. Plus we have an extra day of rest considering the guys have an extra day to prepare because of the Sat. game this week in Tennessee.

I will be at the game Section 505. I purchased the tix last week and just hoped it worked out. I hope to see a lot of Ravens fans there. I am not sure how many Steeler fans will part with the tix though.

You're very very very wrong. Pittsburgh is a very pretty city, but it gets a bad rap because of how it was in the 70s. I suggest picking up a magazine or a book and looking at some of the most livable cities in the US :).

On a side note, I thought Baltimore would be a real crap hole. I went down there this summer and it was actually nice. Went to eat at the cheesecake factory that overlooked Ft Henry? It was a nice visit.

No, we arent :D.

Wish I could find the picture of a lone Bengals fan in the middle of about 200 steelers fans. They were all starring him down. Hehe.

I unfortunately won't be able to go to the game but I figured I could still do my part to help fellow Ravens Fans. If you're a really rich Ravens fan plz purchase a ton of tickets and then re-sell them to fellow Ravens fans (keep the wealth in the family). The more Ravens Fans in the stands = the better chance of Baltimore going to Tampa (knock on wood).

If you're looking for tickets here's a link to Stubhub. They still have a lot of tickets available for the AFC Championship game. Hope this helps.

Pittsburgh is one of the most desirable cities in many surveys. This isn't 1970 steel town. Baltimore on the otherhand, well...

Regarding the 'underdog' status, that's a figment of Raven fans' imagination. The Ravens have been the trendy SB pick ever since they won the Miami game. You can sure try to play the 'disrespect' card but it isn't there. The media and Steeler fans don't take the Ravens lightly. Sorry!

We may, I have family in Deep Creek and the 'Burgh. The Pittsburgh fans that are actually from Pittsburgh are actually a lot nicer then the ones that come to the Vault.

I actually have a house in Deep Creek, and we've been considering driving from Swanton to the game as well.

My Parents are actually in Royal Charlotte but no one knows where that is, so I call it Deep Creek--its their winter place. It is less then 90 mins to the stadium with traffic, we have done it before.

Yeah, Deep Creek is part of the Pittsburgh market in terms of television and newspapers.

I am trying to buy tickets now. They are SOOO expensive and I don't want to sit up in the nose bleeds. I don't want to get my @ss kicked by steelers fans after we win so I am trying to sit in a classy section(club level).

I currently live in Pittsburgh (grad school) and my brother, boyfriend, and I are trying to get tickets for the game. Student loans just came in, have some discretionary income.
Didn't have any problem getting them for the Monday Night game earlier this year. Generally, the people were very nice to us, even thanked us for coming up to visit the city and spend our money here. Plus, its awesome going out after a game and being able to drink on $10 or less.

It'll be nice to see some fellow Ravens fans up here.

I think the "Hunt valley motor coach" buses tailgate, so if you can find them, I'm sure it will be a 'the more Raven's Fans, the merrier' type of deal.

The WNST bus trip is 500 for the trip, beer, and a ticket. That's still pretty steep for an upper reserve ticket. I might have to be forced to watch the game on the HDTV.

Can't agree with you more... I was hoping for Steelers to beat the Chargers because I know that RayRay is going to be the field general he is and get some payback on these Steelers. The Steelers can't make the mistake of thinking that Lewis and company don't feel cheated out of a win on there last meeting!
