Yes, but you have to start Schaub over Newton for the double negative to take effect

On a serious note, 7pm Monday Night is when the rosters lock for the game?

Also to the Seahawks GM, Lynch posted a picture on FB with of cleats hanging(signaling he is hanging up the cleats) and is retired from the NFL.

Guys, what do I do with Lynch? We all knew he is likely to retire but just for the sake of playing by rules - is he retired now or we wait for the official announcement?

In other words, if there's no transaction at the time our rosters are locked, can I release him before it's official?

Put him on your reserve/retired. You get the cap savings, and if he decides to come back, you have his rights.

Retirements take effect even after the roster locks, just like in real life. They are unpredictable and we have to deal with them
