This article isnt about Lequon Treadwell or draft prospects in particular, and the answers to your questions are very googleable. Minus the 40 time, if you search for his name you'll get all that info right on the results page. dont even have to click a link.

His questions are probably examples of details that he thinks should be included in the article, presumably for more context.

I can't be mad at Ngata for his comments, he's got a year or two to make as much money as he can before he hits the real world.

I'm more concerned with urschel not focusing on his craft, I understand education is important but he has all the time int the world for a PhD after his career ends. Right now with his rookie contract he is being paid many times more than a full time college professor with a PhD. This reminds me of when Matt Elam spent his first offseason selling shoes at footlocker and came in ill prepared for his terrible sophomore season.

Huge difference between going back to school for a PHD and taking up a joke of a job. Urshel will be taking the min amount of classes and he does math problems for fun, its something that relaxes him.

I am hoping he is the starting LG next year. With Flacco's contract freeing up some money it will allow us to resign K.O and move him to LT. Trade Monroe for a late round pick to get out under his contract, (please tell me if im wrong but I thought that's how it works) and use the money saved to resign Tucker. I would love to keep Upshaw because I think he is really underrated but I can see him leaving for a bigger pay day.

I know the main needs for the Ravens are: OT, CB, WR. OLB / DE and Safety I could honestly see Oz take any one of these positions with the sixth pick but anything is possible and we have all seen some strange things happen in the draft.

This year's draft is so weird in a really good way. Usually by the time the Ravens pick, the draft really dictates what direction we go and I'm holding my breath from a player getting robbed or a player getting over rated by our FO. This year I can see myself falling in love with the best pass rusher (bosa), the best 2 tackles, the best 2 CB ( one of them is said to be the next Ed Reed), or the Best WR (treadwell).

Seriously this is unfamiliar territory to me when I'm watching highlights on these guys and reading about them. All the players projected to fall to is are so damn good(unless a red flag pops up by draft day) We're drafting 6th and there are 6 guys that could help this team day 1 and help for 5 years. I'm sure Ozzie and them are laughing to death.

My dream pick wouldn't be any of those 6 guys coz I'd root for any of them in a heartbeat. My dream would be to see Ozzie and them trade away a 4th to move back into the end of the first round and snatch another baller. We would literally have 3 brand new first rounders to start next season (perriman returns) that were not here last season.

How tall is Laquon Treadwell? How fast is he? Why do the pundits think he is a great prospect? If I was writing this article, I'd provide a lot more info.

Anyway, I don't see

I would have liked the writer to include a bit more information about Treadwell but I'm guessing he's waiting for the official numbers to come out through the pro days and combine before he posts potentially false information.

He has to be 100 percent sure before he writes an article but I don't so don't hold it against me if I'm a bit off lol

He's reportedly 6'2 and is prity fast. Expected to run a 4.45. If he runs faster than that in the combine them he's a lock top 10 but if he runs a low 4.5 teams may think twice because a lot of his yards came from screen passes and his WR friendly system. His hands on the other hand are Amazing! He's literally got some Boldin, Dez Bryant, or AJ green in him where he just snatches balls. His rout running is my only question mark as I'm not sure how polished he is in route running. Last but not least, I think his most under rated aspect is his blocking ability. He literally shoves CBs around in the runing game which I find hillarious at times.

Keep bleeding purple my friend, Treadwell or not we will get a nasty playmaker at 6th ;)

Off topic a bit, but does anyone else hate this new look of the comment section?! I often visited other teams pages to see what their fans were saying and our comment section was WAY above anyone else's. Simple, easy to read and follow, clear. +/- system was good. And now it's the same kind of rubbish like everyone else's.

I hope they change it fast, it drives me nuts! This is what happens when you try to fix something that isn't broken.

I've only been here a few months and it seems harder to navigate, I wonder if the previous one was bugged.

Did you actually stop to think that his future after football is more important to him and his family than football?  Being a math genius obviously hasn't prevented him from making it to the NFL.  People need to realize that football is just a game and eventually he has to quit/retire and move on to life after football. Stop being concerned about that man pursuing his goals and dreams.

Seriously?

You just compared working towards a PhD @ MIT to selling shoes @ Footlocker? Just.... Wow.

I'd never dog a guy for preparing for life after football. Just another reason Urschel's my favorite Raven.

Not really, no. It was good, simple, and logical.

I'm getting slowly used to the new one, but one big feature I do miss is being able to up/down vote right on the comment section below the news. I always read the news and then read the comments from the bottom of the same news page. That feature still exists, but you can't vote on comments below the news which sucks.

You do realize that sometimes you really don't "have all the time in the world for a PhD after your career ends".  Just sayin...  Holy cow.  Dog a guy for bettering a brilliant mind.

If Brashad Perryman is healthy and appears ready to go no. The Ravens should sign another proven WR through free agency. The O line and defensive positions are the primary targets we need to address in the draft. FA WR's like Boldin and Smith Sr. set the bar high. Another veteran WR could make an immediate impact with Joe. Also set an example for the young receiving core that we currently have. I love hard hitting defense. It still wins Championships to this day (Denver). Get what we need to put our offense into the top 12 and our defense back into the top 5. When you play in the AFC North, that would be quite an achievement.

You can still vote. Go to the top where the comments begin and put your cursor on the quote symbol to the right of [Signed in as RaRaRavens] and enter the community. The up and down votes are there.

If his studies were more important then he should have just stayed in college, as I mentioned earlier nothing is stopping him from studying when his career is over. Employers don't pay a premium to their one percenters for them to treat it like a part time hobby.

you have no idea what his life will be like when his career is over.

you have no idea when his career will be over.

you have no idea WHY his career will be over when it is over.

Therefore, your statement that "nothing is stopping him from studying when his career is over" is at best: a hypothesis, and at worst: an asinine assumption.

I have nothing against that but how does being the leagues smartest mathematician help his performance? how does it help the team? this is why scouts questioned his commitment to football. I'm being painted as the bad guy here but really, bottom line is these guys are compensated an obscene amount of money to produce on the field.

The guy is a stud on the field.  His intellect at this point gives him the ability to absorb the material much quicker than the "average Joe".  Discounting this guy because you believe "he needs to spend more time getting ready for next season" is pointless in this case.  A crap ton of players attend universities, do internships, and actually do other things in the offseason to better their lives.  I'm with others here that believe this is pointless in this situation.

it doesnt.
hes a human, not a slave or a machine, not everything he does has to benefit the team. You clock out everyday at 5 and get to do whatever you want with the rest of your time, why do you think it should be different just because he's in the NFL?

and he's only getting $2M over 4 years.

yes he make more money than you. That's pretty much what you're mad about. Guess what? so do a lot of other people. you dont let them bother you. let it go here too.

I liked his rookie season he has a rare build and played well, last season when he filled in I thought he was serviceable but a downgrade from Zuttah, it's understandable he had some miscues in a new position but thats all the more reason to put in more work.

I can't be hypocritical and pretend like I'm worried about players bettering their lives when thousands have their dreams crushed unceremoniously every year (and nobody cares enough to write articles) and the one whos do have careers leave with broken down bodies and brain damage.

And what a player chooses to do during his free time is his business.

Who are you to say when he should or shouldn't go to school?

Well it's a little off topic but lets say a key player chooses to get fat and out of shape during the offseason, then it becomes a performance issue and one that affects the team, I'll point to Eddie Lacy as the most recent example. Now the NFL is not a dream factory for bettering lives, it's a business that boils down to performance in a contact sport.

Look I'm a nobody with a username just like anyone here, I don't get to tell anyone anything but this is a discussion board so I'm here to throw my opinion in the mix. Anyway I said what was on my mind so to avoid talking in circles this is my last comment on the issue, thanks for the debate :).

This article is about our chances of drafting Treadwell, not about Urschel. Lets talk football, not why or why not a player should be in school in the offseason.

As obsessed as most fans have been over the years with building up a high-powered offense with young weapons for Joe, this post-season has validated one thing, which is defense reigns supreme in raising lombardy trophies. PERIOD. Just look at Cam Newton's weapons, a bunch of under the radar receivers who find a way to make plays. But look at Demariyus Thomas, Sanders, Fitzgerald, John Brown, etc. All of those guys were top WR all year and in the most important moments of the post-season, they have disappeared at one point over the other, while defensive gems have changed games. For that reason, let's take what the draft gives us and land a blue chip defender, As much as we would like Treadwell, we must have organized chaos to regain championship form,
