By doing that trade, the Eagles would be giving up all of their picks until round 5.  I don't see that happening at all.

This draft might lack immediate game changers but would probably be looked at as great 2-3 years down the road.

I don't see it on both sides. I can see the Eagles becoming really desperate if they lose Sam Bradford to FA so they could go out and get some more picks by trading players, but it very rarely happens, I think there was a report that when Mariota was desired in Philly, that they attempted to trade some players away for draft picks.

I'm also not interested in moving that far back unless I'm getting a future first, I honestly think two 3rd's and a 4th is a rip off. Unless I'm getting a future first, I'm staying put.

Why the eagles will franchise bradford and not trade up for a qb

Thinking same thing however these players we are liking from the east west game and small school sleepers entering the picture will go very fast once the draft comes because players I see being mocked in round 4 and beyond are actually going to be drafted well before that. Now more players may hit the scene but for now it is a little shallow of a class. But not very shallow unless comparing to last couple great drafts!! There will be some very good sleepers that will work out fine in a couple years.

Man if the Eagles franchised Bradford, what a windfall for him. He has made so much money and done so little.

Franchising Bradford would cost more money than just signing him to a "prove yourself" deal, he's done nothing to deserve such a huge franchise tag. I don't think they'll trade up for a QB but franchising Bradford wouldn't make much sense.

Your options are franchise bradford or lose him. You forget he has the leverage not to sign that kind of deal

Not really, he doesn't have enough leverage to get the tag at such an expensive position. Going for an actual deal, maybe not a "prove it" deal but a cheaper deal nonetheless. Philly has a new coach, one that's proven, and good players for Bradford to be around, it seems to be in Bradford's best interest to stay in Philly. The QB franchise tag is $15 million, surely he does not have enough leverage to get more than that.

So you don't think Houston/San Fran/Cleveland wouldn't want to sign him given how desperate their situations are?

15 million is a bargain considering what some QBs get paid for average to below average qb play.

Btw philly has already stated that they will tag Bradford if they have to likely because they know someone will overpay him and they would rather have him than no QB.

I just dont see us trading with the Eagles as I dont think they would give up all their picks until 5th round and dont think there is enough value for the Ravens to just collect 3rds and a 4th from it.

I want us to drop down in the draft but no later then 15th with atleast a 2nd along with extra picks/future.  I would like us to trade with the Rams which I believe would be far more likely as Fisher is on a hotseat with no QB and franchise moving to LA.

The Eagles pick is at #13 and i see they have alot of picks from 5th to 7th that they might make the trade

For me I wouldnt move down for anything less then an additional 2nd along with other picks,  I dont see the value moving down for 3rds.

I know how the point system works and have the same copy as you do.  It is a loose interpretation and the true value is only what both teams are willing to give up to make the trade happen.

For me I would not trade down for less then collecting a 2nd rounder.  The Rams have perceived need to move up for a QB and we could be in a position to fleece them.  Based on points chart we would expect a 1st 2nd with a 3rd or 4th but in ideal senario (with goff availiable) we could get their 1st and both 2nds.

If the Eagles had their 2nd rounder still I would have no issue trading with them

shafted in this trade. we finally get a high draft pick, i have no issue at all with trading back, as a matter of fact if we can get a future first, or even just this years 2nd and 3rd plus next years 2nd id be thrilled, but for us to get this little bit in return and then only come away with eli apple in the first, a "could be solid" sterling shephard and 2 more marginal at best guys in the 3rd... id be upset.

According to Daniel Jeremiah He has Eli Apple better than Mackenzie Alexander, Sterling Shephard is a great WR, and I think we could do great things if this was the draft

i like eli apple as well, but alexanders stock is literally all over the place, some have him as a top 10 pick, some have him as a 2nd rounder, so i wouldnt follow that one too hard.

sterling shepard looks good at the college level, but he looks like an identical prospect to tyler lockett, same strengths, same weaknesses, same concerns. body catches in traffic and plays with alligator arms too often, he is 5'10" which doesnt always hurt a prospect, but he isnt one of those guys that plays much bigger than their size, which is a concern for me.

this is our highest pick since we drafted jamal lewis in 2000, and none of the other picks have even been close. for us to come away with this as a result would be very disappointing, just a lack of starpower where we could have found a boatload of it.

Hes been solid, Not amazing, and as a complimentary guy, lockett still has a lot of very bad habits when catching the ball and it showed itself all year long. Double catching, alligator arms, scared in traffic, just like in college. That amazing performance you're referring to is his performance as a returner, which yeah it was amazing, but your judgement of him as a wr seem to be clouded by that.

According to Pro Football Focus when talking about Lockett "He wasn’t the most targeted receiver of the group, but when he was thrown at, the Seahawks had an NFL passer rating of 130.4, which was the second-most for any receiver this year. He stood out from Amari Cooper because he had far fewer drops (three versus 18), "
