[News] The Caw: Joe Flacco Jokes About His Celebrity Status

11 posts in this topic

Unless I'm at a signing or something like that, I don't think I would have the nerve to ask a celebrity for a picture. I would probably try to maneuver around to unobtrusively take a picture.

I would never interrupt him if he was doing something w/ his family or sitting down to eat dinner.

I saw Flacco in New Orleans eating dinner 2 days before the Superbowl.  I just gave him a head nod and he returned the gesture.  My son who was with me wanted to ask for his autograph but I told him while he's enjoying his dinner w/ his family is not the time.

I've only seen one of Joe's comercials, a couple times.

I would much rather see that during one of our nationally televised games, than that obnoxious Verizon comercial with JJ Watt sacking Joe !

Maybe Joe doesn't like to watch his commercials but IMO, his Pepsi Party Fail is 1 of the best and funniest sports celebrity commercials of all time.

Sorry Salamander, I missed the up button and hit the down by accident...... Consider this 2 thumbs up :)

The one thing that I most wanted to hear from Flacco is he is willing to work with the Ravens to reduce his cap hit and annual salary. He said he has to work with the Ravens to reduce his untenable cap number, and his openness to stay a Raven and help this team field a good winning team is most helpful. He just needs to be happy with a fair contract extension since he's already achieved the respect he desired by being at one time the highest paid player in the NFL. He has already said on previous occasions it isn't about the money with him but respect. So, I expect him to let his agent Linta know his intentions clearly and unequivocally so it isn't a cat and mouse game all over again.

I could not imagine constantly being bothered when all you want to do is have a quiet dinner with your family. You would have to be rude at times for sure.

That's my m. o. for sure! lol   A book signing or charity event where interaction is often scheduled in is one thing,  but I would never bother someone when they were on their own time with friends, family or on vacation.  I think sometimes people forget that these are real people with real lives.
