[News] Late For Work 1/25: Terrell Suggs Wins Twitter With Reaction To Patriots Loss

49 posts in this topic

It feels like this year's playoffs just didn't have the same level of competitiveness due to some really devastating injuries. Everyone could tell that at least 2 of the teams had no business being in the playoffs period. The Texans proved to be a joke, and they have the guy that hurt Andrew Luck to thank for their berth. And the Redskins squeezed in because Tony Romo and Dez Bryant were missing for chunks of time. KC was a Cinderella story but everyone knew that losing Charles and having mediocre WRs was eventually going to catch up to them.

Had we not had half our salary cap on IR for about half the season, I firmly believe this could have been another year of 3 AFC North Teams in the playoffs. As well as the defense rounded out in the back end of the season, who knows what coulda been?

So glad we don't have another offseason of Patriots fans gloating like a bunch of idiots. #IhateBrady

I did wake up strangely happy for a Monday lol

I savored each and every moment when Brady got hammered, especially the abundance of slow motion replays. Denver's defense did a great job keeping relentless pressure on Brady all game. The thing I really cared about most this weekend was to have the Pats eliminated. Brady on his backside is a beautiful sight.

If the Ravens would have made it to the post-season I don't think the Steelers would have got in since we swept them and how close the other teams were to getting in. It would have been a domino effect if we actually had a winning record. Plus the Steelers got in b/c the Jets couldn't beat Buffalo.

"Ravens fans wondering why I'm so adamant about Baltimore acquiring a pass rusher in round 1 should look at the Broncos defense"

Oh I hear you ... when I could see we were headed to a high pick, I prayed there'd be an edge rusher of the likes of Miller or Mack that would be available. Unfortunately, I don't think there is one of those kind of can't miss guys at that position in this draft that will be available at #6. So, while I'm dying to see us get that guy, I don't know that he's available in round 1. We can't force it to happen.

Congrats to my man! Cam SupaMan Newton!! Supaman dat ho!! Dab on Em!! Its also ironic and kind of heartbreaking that Elvis Doom and SSS are close friends, and they'll both have to watch their former teams play on the stage they wanted to play on. I can only imagine how SSS is feeling.

Im so freaking proud Cam is in their. Yall are watching a QB with the skills and mind no other QB has showed. It came out of nowhere, the reason why they are demolishing teams is because Cam has them playing at a much higher tempo and beat. He's making QB's like Palmer, Manning, and even Brady look old fashioned. I was so pumped up last night watching the panthers game, it had me feeling my old ways back when we would watch Ray Lewis!

If Cam can keep his head level on his shoulders and keep developing from this point forward, he's going to be a QB near impossible to defend. Think Michael Vick and Joe Flacco genetically morphed with their best skill sets. Man are these Panthers a complete team or what? And that Broncos defense is relentless! Finally very happy for Coach Kube! He left for better pastures in hind sight. Congrats Kubes.

Comparing the Ravens to the teams in the playoffs, you see our glaring weaknesses. Defense: Rush LB and #1 Corner/ Offense: Speedy Wr.

Not Happy with season record, but, extremely happy with draft position to sure up a weakness!

I thought that the Cards would make it a close game yesterday, boy was I wrong. In any case congrats to Cam and the Panthers, now go win that SB.

Dude, it cus those guys are old.  Cam is what? 26 y/o?  Never forget Cam doesn't make those QBs look old, its his defense who would make Cam look old too.

Regarding the Broncos, this is from the Denver Post: Eleven victories (by Broncos) were decided by seven or fewer points, an NFL single-season record. We were on the other side by losing a lot of games by 7 or fewer- this is a small difference between good teams and bad teams, but the Broncos had a tougher schedule. And if our team faced that Denver team, we would've looked like the Cardinals yesterday. Speaking of which, I do find Camp's photo of coach arians photo a little offensive (and I'm not African American) and am surprised to see it on this site considering that BR.com is a very classy and professional site/ organization.

"Elway has spent all of his top five players on defense"- Oz/ Dacosta- Please take note...(no more Perrimans in Rd 1) Let's get back to our identity, of who we once were, a dominant defense. We also need to stop striking out on safety picks.. It stinks for us that this year's draft isn't that deep.

Are the Pats rethinking the position they presented to the league in moving the PAT'S back????? LOL

They probably thought that it would give them an advantage over other teams, considering they have arguably the best kicker in the league in Gostkowski. He is usually Mr. Automatic. It was bad timing for him to finally have his first extra point miss since 2006. Putting points on the board, whether it is just one for an extra point is always important. They probably wish they went for one of those field goals in the red zone instead of going for it on fourth down twice. I am one that usually would rather have the more guaranteed points than chancing not getting any at all, unless you are in a real big hole.

That game turned after the Peterson fumbled punt. IMO, if Peterson doesn't fumble that punt and the Cards score, it's a different ball game.  All the momentum of the Panthers going up 17-0 is gone if the Cardinals score there to make it 17-14 or 17-10.  But he fumbles the punt and the Panthers score to make it 24-7 and they never looked back.

I didn't care too much about the outcome of the AFC game as I like both teams. As for the NFC, what I feared is what happened. Ugh....more of that showoff Cam Newton. Please Broncos, beat the daylights out of the Panthers in two weeks!

As we can see. The pass rush is VERY important! The pass rush is very very needed to be premium. That'll help so much on the pressure. Harbaugh think about it.

Don't think that Von Miller is in our future but I do think that there are some other quality pass rushers out there who we could bring in to help us. I also think that the further development of some of our guys can help out (Urban, KLM, Timmy, Upshaw, Carl Davis, Z Smith, and Brandon Williams) can all add to that presence... if they continue to improve but none are pure pass rushers. (except maybe ZSMITH)... adding another true pass rusher to the mix would be a great think for this defense!

Seeing that Broncos pass rush brings me back to SB 2012 or even last year..

Miller,Ware,Wolfe,Ray ...=Suggs,Dumervil, Mcphee,Ngata.Last year. 2012 add Kruger

Gotta beef up our Pass rush early and often

I'm shocked the NFL let the Broncos hit baby Brady that much, I guess their sideline was having communication problems, But....you can bet that next owners meeting a rule change will be introduced to limit even more the pass rush on QBs (well, at least the pass rush on one anyway) lol. GO RAVENS! Steelers out! Pats out! now I can enjoy the Superbowl! :)

the defense needs to get their swagger back. i know harbaugh bisciotti pees and the front office watched these 2 games and saw what an aggressive defense can do to an offense with the right players and schemes. need to draft and and bring in the players that can get us back to being the bullies on the block.
