Ray Rice to coach RBs at NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

This may clear him for hire should he still want to play next year.

edit;  kinda cool the other RB coach is The Priest.

We were so good at finding backs. Hope the trend continues.

I wish Ray the best, hopefully he does well  ... Hopefully this is the beginning of his second chance.

Only problem is all of the coaches are former players/coaches not active coaches like the senior bowl, so his only chance of getting a job Is probably by word of mouth.

This is the kind of response from the NFL I have been waiting for. Ray Rice has so much to offer these young players. If anybody can get through to a bunch of young players, it's Ray.

He could play in the CFL. Why don't he? He can still play

Kinda hard for cats like him who were once superstars in the NFL to play in the CFL.  Not saying some haven't done that just that most former NFL players see that as a huge step down instead of a possible way back into the NFL at some point.

This is true and so so sad.  Letting ego getting in the way of oppurtunity.  Who knows, he could of went to the CFL and tore it up and then teams could of at least had game tape of him instead of the last game tape was our horrific season in 13'.

No one really knows if he can still play.  He was obviously lost in 2013, looked pretty decent in camp the following year but never got the chance to prove he would return to the old RR. Could be he just lost his mojo.

I said it in 2013 and I'll say it again.......... I think his "downfall" had a lot to do with Daddy Ray Ray leaving. They were extremely close and the 180 was just too coincidental.

Im pretty sure in 2013 he was playing around 220 which is why he looked sluggish.  Next year in camp i remember reading he got back down to his college weight to regain his explosiveness, i really think he would have had a monster year with Kubiak's system

True, but it wasn't that he was just sluggish. He was falling down, avoiding contact and just wasn't RR in any way, shape or form. Something was wrong between his ears.

Im just going to chalk that year up as a blemish, but maybe he did hit his wall as well.  the dude had an insane amount of touches from his Rutger days till he got hurt

He did, but he never really took the big hits like a lot of RBs.

Oh well, he's gone and ain't coming back.

2750 for total touches.. Not sure how that relates to other rbs though.

He was dealing with the hip injury that season.  The hip injury and our horrible O-lIne was the major factor of his poor 2013 season.

So happy for Ray, and I am glad that he is getting this opportunity to get his foot back in the football door.
