Last Mock for sometime

21 posts in this topic

Title says it, won't make another until at least after the combine:

* I've got the Texans trading their 1st and 2nd for our #6 pick in the draft.

1) Titans: The Titans are fine at pass rushers with Orakpo and Derick Morgan. They need offensive line help and cornerback help. That leaves Tunsil as the best option here.

Laramey Tunsil LT

2) Browns: This team's roster is actually solid, it's their front office that keeps them in these positions. With that said it's time to move on from their alcoholic QB and plan a future.

Jared Goff QB

3) Chargers: The Chargers are destroyed amongst their offensive, and defensive line. They would have loved Tunsil here, but will settle for d-line instead. Bosa will play the 5 technique in SD along with Corey Luiget!

Joey Bosa DE

4) Cowboys: Dallas is a prime example of great starters, 0 depth. They could use a #2 cornerback, a #2 reciever, and another linebacker, completely unpredictable with where they go here.

Vernon Hargreaves CB

5) Jaguars: The Jags have glaring holes on a solid team. Left Tackle, their whole secondary and pass rusher. They go with the most versatile defensive back in this draft.

Jalen Ramsey SS/CB

6) Texans: trade with Ravens: The Texans fear the 49ers picking a qb, and want to be ahead of the eagles in order to get a top QB, though it may have been over anxious.

Paxton Lynch QB

7) 49ers: San Fran is a mere shell of who they used to be. They over spent on Torrey, now it's time to draft the potential #1 reciever that they've been looking for.

Lequan Treadwell WR

8) Dolphins: I could start at Guard in Miami, and anyone that can do a cartwheel could be their #1 corner.  But even more importantly, Wake is coming off season ending injury, and Vernon may not come back. They add to that line, it will make their pas rusher, and Suh look better.

Deforest Buckner DE

9) Tampa Bay: A common theme amongst the worst teams in the league. The Bucs need secondary and pass rusher help.

Shaq Lawson EDGE

10) New York Giants: The Giants could use help on their ENTIRE defense, as well as another reciever

Robert Nkemdiche DL

11) Bears: An offensive tackles to allow Long to slide back to Guard.

Ronnie Stanley OT

12) New Orleans Saints: They need big time help on the inside.

Andrew Billings DL

13) Philadelphia Eagles: Getting to the quarterback will help those shifty inside linebackers of theres.

Leonard Floyd EDGE

14) Oakland Raiders: Their secondary has been trash since forever.

Mackensie Alexander CB

15) LA Rams: Rams decide to help what their qb, before they replace him.

Josh Doctson WR

16) Detroit Lions: BPA, and they certainly need another linebacker. That defense regressed badly.

Myles Jack LB

17) Atlanta Falcons: One of the most safety needy teams in the league, They grab their guy.

Jayron Kearse S

18) Indianapolis Colts: This is what they do in Indy, they get the icing, but not the cake.

Ezekiel Elliot RB

19) Buffalo Bills: Rex aint passing up on a pass rusher.

Emmanuel Ogbah EDGE

20) New Jersey/ New York Jets: They still land a potential franchise QB with a strong arm

Carson Wentz QB

21) Washington Redskins: They have a lot of holes, but Coleman fills one the best at this spot.

Corey Coleman WR

22) Baltimore Ravens Trade with Houston Texans: Some may call it a Reach, I call it Ozzie Magic.

Noah Spence Edge

23) Minnesota Vikings: Much needed help for their young guy out of UCLA

Su'a Cravens LB

24) Cincinnati Bengals: This team is so stacked, they can afford to let a stud heal for a year.

Jaylon Smith LB

25) Pittsburgh Steelers: Pittsburgh steals one of our targets and helps their woeful secondary

Eli Apple CB

26) Seattle Seahawks: Steelers grabbed their guy, but they still help their defense here.

Maliek Collins DL

27) Green bay Packers: Packers reach back on the proverbial draft board a little to grab their guy.

Taylor Decker

28) Kansas City Chiefs: One of the Chiefs very few weaknesses was consistent line play.

Shon Coleman OT

29) Carolina Panthers: Carolina somehow put together a solid offensive year, but lack of weapons cost them a trip to the Superbowl.

Tyler Boyd WR

30) Denver Broncos: This line needs improvement, to give their QB time and regain strength in the run game.

Jerald Hawkins OT

31) Arizona Cardinals: The only weakness on this Superbowl winning team is pass rusher

Jordan Jenkins EDGE

Pick 1-22 Noah Spence EDGE, 6'3 261lbs

8982967_G.jpg

The former 5 star recruit would be a top 10 pick if it weren't for the off field issues. Here is his chance to show he's an improved man, because we could certainly use him. He's lined up on both sides of the field, standing or hand in dirt, rushing or dropping back in coverage. He's our guy.

Pick 2-5 Michael Thomas WR, 6'3 - 210 lbs

TD.gif

He was apparently slow to pick up his college playbook, add that to his potentially average 40 time, and I can see him sliding down the draft. But this young man will be the best WR in the draft in my eyes, he's a very good route runner, and doesn't waste motion. Has great body control and projects to be a career long compliment to Perriman.

Pick 2-21 (Texans): Darian Thompson FS, 6'2 - 210 lbs

hqdefault.jpg

Darian is a very rangy and fluid athlete, he is often too aggresive but that is a problem that we will take right now in Baltimore, as we desperately need to create more turnovers. This young man will push Webb, and will eventually be the first team safety down the road.

Pick 3-7: Kendall Fuller CB, 6'0 - 197

5582eb42bde4d.image.jpg?resize=300%2C225

Uses his body well, and is a very fluid athlete. His only gripe, and it's a big one, is that he doesn't do a good job of turning and finding the ball. But before his injury he would have been long gone, and that's promising.

Pick 4-6: Rashard ‘Hollywood’ Higgins WR, 6'2 - 190 lbs

20141004__Rashard%20Higgins~p1.jpg

Completely depending on his workouts Hollywood may be here. He's a little skinny but is a fluid athlete and dominated his level of play like any smaller school athlete entering the draft should. Nothing too spectacular, but very balanced. We need consistency in our offense.

Pick 4 Comp (Mcphee): Will Redmond CB, 5'11 - 186

Once considered a top 5 CB prospect, Will tore his ACL and will in result plummet down draft boards. Will is a serious athlete, and ran a 4.38 40 (in his team's facility) and was becoming a dominant force before he went down. With proper healing this young man will be the real deal.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roster Changes

WR1: SSS, Michael Thomas

WR 2: Breshad Perriman, Hollywood Higgins

Slot WR: Kamar Aiken, Michael Campanaro, Jeremy Butler

Edge Rusher: T-Sizzle, Z'Darius Smith, Bryan Brennen

Edge Rusher: Doom, Noah Spence

Cornerback 1: Jimmy Smith, Tray Walker

Cornerback 2: Shareece Wright, Will Redmond

Slot Corner: Kendall Fuller, Will Davis

FS: Ladarius Webb, Darian Thompson

SS: Will Hill, Matt Elam

You know the drill, critique it, yada yada. Be gentle

I like it a lot although I don't see fuller falling that far.

I'm not one to speak though I had Spence falling to us in the 3rd in my mock lol

Only getting a second moving down 16 spots i think is a little robbery and no way Oz lets that happen.  Add in next years first then ok.  Other than that id be happy

Couldn't the Texans get a QB by just staying where they are? Lynch going in the top 10 is a reach and I feel like the Texans can get Hack, who is a promising project easy. Lynch is not a can't miss kinda guy.

No way we trade back that far unless we get at least 3 picks out of it all within the top 3 rounds..and even then I still don't see it. We could probably stand pat..get a top ten prospect and still get Spence in the second pretty easily..so imo wouldn't be worth it. Nice mock though...always like seeing somethin diffrent.

I hear ya, lol. This is the first year for a while where I really have no clue what we're going to do.

I'm predicting a team to panic not knowing what the 49ers and Eagles are going to do. Someone is going to make a mistake in this draft, they always do.

Thanks bud, but If Spence is there, I can't see him getting past Green Bay and Arizona. They both need a pass rusher, and Dallas on the other end can scoop him, because i doubt they keep Hardy.

I think the Eagles would be a more likely trade partner for various reasons & would be a more ideal partner as well due to their fewer amount of picks at the top. They will most likely want a QB for their new HC to groom, whom they hired due to his knowledge of Andy's system. The drop wouldn't be too far, but it would get them ahead of SF & possibly other teams that may want to trade up. I also don't think we'll want to drop that far either. We could potentially walk away with their 2017 first round pick & only require their 2016 1st & 2016 3rd round picks. We could even get their 2017 2nd round pick instead of their 1st, and I personally would prefer getting the high pick next year over a 2nd rounder this year.

Losing Eli Apple to the Steelers is a punch in the gut.

I think we may have to trade up to get Fuller in that situation, but you never know I guess. Stranger things have happened.

Fuller is probably going in the first round at this point with the corners returning to school and I don't think teams are afraid of the 49ers taking a QB with Chip there now.

I agree although I don't think Fuller falls that far but I would be thrilled Oz will get more picks than that

I think fuller goes in the second and I think we actually grab him.

Moving back to 22 sounds awful.

Yeah I would not trade back from 6 to 22 for only a second round pick in this draft, read through earlier thinking it would be for their first next year

Honestly fullers position depends on the combine. If he goes and does as expected he's gone in round 2. If he doesn't go round 3. If he only does some drills, round 3. If he goes and performs poorly he could drop really far.
