I think with our TEs getting better and growing and the inevitable inprovements to WR should give Joe his best year.

As far as Jackson goes, it only takes a good HC and QB to turn a franchise around, look at the Redskins. They got a guy who I believe is a good coach, Goff could turn them around in 3 years, I guess we'll have to see.

agree about the Browns, but depends on how they draft more importantly. That team Could be the Raiders, but they can't draft, so unless Jackson can help the philosophy of the drafting or their new baseball money-back guy, they still won't do much.

You're definitely right, but as we have seen in the past it takes a good HC/QB duo to change a franchise completely, thats why I hope Cleveland doesn't go with Goff, its still yet to be seen how good he is so I won't sound the alarms lol I just hope they don't pick him.

you mean he isn't already better than Joe? Lol.

A lot of ppl forget the Browns went 7-9 when we had 3 playoff teams. Like you said.. They need a qb, that's why I think it's a no brainer that they draft one for Jackson

Lol I won't crown him better than any of the QBs in our division until he plays and outperform them significantly, I mean 40TD kinda season lol. The Browns are just a QB and HC away from getting back to what they were in 2014. Like I said I think Hue is a good coach, the kind they need, no-nonsense HC, someone who will challenge his players and demand respect, you can see that with him quickly dumping Manziel, combine that with a good QB and you will have a team while isn't a contender, can at least be watchable. The right QB/HC duo can truly change any franchise, even Cleveland, history has shown that tons of times.

After watching Cam CRUSH the cardinals with virtually no weapons I think it's time to re-evaluate the "Flacco is elite" stuff and the "elite" thing in general.

I think it's time we admit "elite" is a subjective term.

I agree with most of what you said except the cb pick at 6. I really think jimmy is going to come back to great for since he will be healthy, Webb moving to safety will be bi, and I think wright fills a need and does fine. So grabbing a pass rusher or myles jack I think will really put us over the top. I think our defense sprites a lot

We still need a corner opposite of Jimmy. Asa Jackson isn't going to cut it. We can sign guys for our front seven or go into the later rounds.

We beat the Steelers twice and they had everything to play for against our backup QB who was only here a short time and had no time to develop good timing with any receiver. Next year we got this! ;)

But we got to beat the Bengals. Sick of losing to them.

"Virtually no weapons"? Are you serious

Goff doesn't have the strongest arm. That's probably my biggest knock on him, but I love everything else about his game beyond that. It'll suck to have to root against him and hope he Browns it up. Hopefully the Rams do me a favor, and the Titans too, I guess.

1. Greg Olsen > Every weapon we have including Steve.

2. Hopefully Cleveland screws up so bad in the draft...

With the second pick in the NFL draft.. Cleveland Browns select... William Fuller WR, Notre Dame.

It'd be such a Browns thing to do. Now I like Goff, a lot, but I don't think he's going to be better than Joe immediantly. But the Browns being the Browns I see them taking Lynch

Cam has outpreformed every QB in the league, and his recievers are not as bad as some say, Ted Ginn drops his fair share of passes but defines play-maker, he can get behind any defense and Greg Olsen is a top tier TE, Joe has better passing options but lets not forget this has been an awful defense that cost us a lot of games.

I don't think that's true for this season, maybe last season, when we still had Torrey and Daniels on the team. I do agree, that Olsen is underrated and that Cam is the clear MVP this year.

What does Cam Newton have to do with the AFCN?

Who actually has said he is elite? im actually asking, because as much as we bring this up and argue the fact, i dont recall anyone flat out saying it.  Would make for a good poll

Fans and pundits started saying it immediately after the super bowl and now only a lot of fans say it.

Well after the SB i think it was at least a question to ask going forward, that playoff run was elite, he just didnt play elite after that.  Id be very interested to see how many people on here would actually say they think he IS elite.

There are atleast 16 teams in the league, that envy us for having Flacco and another 5 to 10, that wonder, if their QB can do what Flacco did: Lead a team to a SB victory.

Again, I don't understand what Cam Newton has to do with the AFCN or what relevance that elite-debate has to our team. A debate that is largely irrelevant in general and is mostly fabricated by sports "experts". What are we going to do with it? Is it about how much Joe is gonna get paid? Because, the market prize for franchise QBs remains high (always!) or are we going to part ways with Joe, now that Cam had a better season than Flacco. Why do we have to re-evaluate Flacco?

He's our franchise QB. The first francise QB the Ravens ever had.

Not having big names doesn't mean he has no weapons.  As stated Greg Olsen is very underrated.  He was putting up 500+ yards and 5 TDs with Kyle Orton and is sitting on back to back 1K receiving yard seasons.  Ted Ginn Jr. isn't a big name but he provides somethings for Cam Joe didn't have this season.  Speed.  "Elite" speed (since the word is being used.   Jerricho Cotchery has been a very good chain mover for many QBs.  Devin Funchess just had a very good season for a rookie.

Cam doesn't have big name talent but he definitely has weapons.  The clutch TE, the Big WR, the speed thread, and the dependable chain mover.  When was the last time Joe had this?  2011 and 2012. There's no top 10 WR, although there is a top 5 TE, but that offense is very well put together.

Well its just the nature of the beast.  People compare QBs and start putting them into tiers.  Some people on here care how he is viewed by media and other fans, i for one dont.  I dont know why Cam came into the discussion in a AFCN thread either, but they are two entirely different QBs.  Some people on here dont want him as our QB because they want an "elite" QB, maybe those certain people will chime in.  (im bored so ill do this)

IMHO id take Flacco over the following

Romo               Cousins

Tannehil           Eli

Mariota             Bridgewater

Winston            Stafford

Fitz                   Cutler

Hoyer               Tyrod

McCown           Dalton

Carr                  Peyton

Rivers               A.Smith

Brees               Foles

Bortles             Palmer

I think Joe fits here

Rodgers     Brady

Luck           Ben

Cam          Wilson

Seems like a fair list. I wonder how Joe will look next season. It's been a while since the last time Flacco had an OC for more than just one season. I'm still sceptical about BP, but our depth at WR was so bad last season, that any addition would help. What did Ozzie say? 1 or 2 new guys added to our WR corps either through draft or FA?

I'll be more than okay with that. The Steelers have Brown, the Bengals AJ Green, heck even the Browns have Josh Gordon. It's about time we make some progress in that area.

Its actually debatable but Steve Smith is easily better than any of their WRs, Aiken and Ginn are kneck and kneck but Olsen breaks the tie. His weapons aren't great but they're not awful either.

There's just no way we DON'T address the WR position at all. I seriously can't see it.

I can. Aiken proved to be a viable three, never doubt SSS and BP has a lot of potential. Not saying I wouldn't mind if we ignore the WR position, but given Ozzie's track record, the most we'll probably get is a Marques Colston type of signing. If this is the case then our front office clearly isn't thinking about the future because this has to be Seniors last season. Oh, and the team is really high on Jeremt Butler as well.

Wouldn't shock me at if we didn't add a single piece to the WR corps other than an aging vet, and I'd be PISSED.
