Its gonna suck having only the 3rd best QB in the division. I really think Goff is gonna be in the league for a long time.

3rd best? What order do you put the QBs?

Obviously Ben, Goff, Flacco, Dalton

smh

well with his comment I wouldn't of been shocked for it to be Goff, Dalton, Joe, Ben

I hope Cleveland screws up on their 2nd pick, I really hope they don't pick Goff.

I think they might go with Lynch simply because he's similar to Flacco and Ben in terms of being a tall, athletic QB, with a strong arm. They could decide to simply try to copy the teams in the division that have won championships. And Lynch could be good, depending on what set of coaches he gets to work with, though the Browns don't have a good record with QBs that have a lot of raw talent.

Is there a problem with this? Fact is I think Goff is gonna be a special player and Bens a future hall of famer candidate, neither titles are appropriate for Joe. Edited by Cillmatic

I think throwing 17 straight TDs and 0 INTs in the playoffs and winning Super Bowl MVP is something a pretty special player would do.

I guess it's more appropriate to crown someone who has never played a down in the NFL before.

I'm not sure if your aware, but Goff hasn't even played a snap in the nfl, to put him ahead of Joe is pretty disrespectful. That being said, if he turns out of be better than joe, so be it. You act like Goff is Andrew luck type prospect and he's not even thathe nor in the same conversation. And, imo, if Goff does becomethis type of player, I bet Ben is retired by then. So yea, there is a problem with that. Edited by usmccharles

We're gonna take back this division next year and with a vengeance. We have a receiver coming into this third year after a good year with all the confidence in the world, a good DB coach, and the 6th overall pick.  Aiken-SSS-Perriman can be a solid core if all healthy. The first round pick should be used on a defensive back, hopefully Hargreaves who has all the skillsets of a true shut down corner, opposite side of Jimmy Smith, with Webb and Hill at Safety. Could be a massive upgrade.

A lot of people thought Mark Sanchez and Josh Freeman were going to be special players too, and possibly have more success than Flacco.

I agree with most of what you said except the cb pick at 6. I really think jimmy is going to come back to great for since he will be healthy, Webb moving to safety will be bi, and I think wright fills a need and does fine. So grabbing a pass rusher or myles jack I think will really put us over the top. I think our defense sprites a lot

And a lot of people thought Peyton Manning would be special, how'd that turn out? Seems like people are skipping the part when I said "I THINK"...

I mean "special" as in "elite" player, possible hall of famer. Joe is not going to the HOF and he's not a consistant "elite" player outside of a great stretch of games about 3-4 years ago, I just see something in Goff. Edited by Cillmatic

Hence why I said "I think he's GONNA be" and "Gonna" means it hasn't happened yet if you're not aware. Edited by Cillmatic

Seems like this forum a virtual dichotomy of people who despise Flacco or people who think he's the GOAT or something then you have a few people that just think he's alright like myself.

We're on the same page but I just don't see Goff having a great career in Cleveland or accomplishing what Flacco has at least.

One more super bowl and I think you could make a strong case. And for both our sakes let's hope you're wrong about Goff unless he goes somewhere outside our division.

Yes, there is a problem - you are anointing the player who is yet to be drafted and take a snap in the NFL over Super Bowl winning - and winning in style - QB. Let alone numerous playoff wins. That is beyond ridiculous.

Trust me, if Goff IS drafted by the Browns I hope he blows; I HATE Cleveland and its fans.

But he's the GOAT.

In all seriousness, I think Flacco is more than alright. If Flacco had weapons similar to the Bengals, I'm sure he could put up similar numbers.

this is what I think it comes down to. I will never say Joe is the best in the league, he's top ten imp. Come playoff time, top 3 Imo.

I think Joe's best seasons is ahead of him honestly. I'm still a bit concerned if they pick Goff, he could be a franchise game changer, IMO hes almost as good as the QBs from last draft(Mariota&Winston)

I agree. I think Joe is entering his prime now, just needs someone to throw the ball to, consistently. But we are still talking the Browns, hue Jackson could change things but until we see it I won't believe it. We also don't even in on if the Browns will pick him

If we don't get a WR this offseason Joe's gonna have another wasted season.

well we have BP coming back in theory, I know that's not a huge comfort, but it'd like an extra draft pick. I'm more worried about the years after ssr. I think ssr, Aiken, BP, Butler and our tight ends will be just find for Joe to spread it around. I think we go defense first two picks but grab a WR in FA

There's just no way we DON'T address the WR position at all. I seriously can't see it.

oh no I agree. But taking wrs in the 4+ round hardly ever equate to meaning anything, for us anyways

I don't know about Lynch, I think hes a bit overrated. Thats just how I feel. I don't think he's better than Goff at all.

I think with our TEs getting better and growing and the inevitable inprovements to WR should give Joe his best year.

As far as Jackson goes, it only takes a good HC and QB to turn a franchise around, look at the Redskins. They got a guy who I believe is a good coach, Goff could turn them around in 3 years, I guess we'll have to see.
