Eric Striker at MLB?

16 posts in this topic

Seen a lot of his game tape as OLB, only issue is that due to his size once a blocker gets their hands on him, he gets neutralized at times but when it comes to blitzing and pass defense, I think he is worth a look if he last to the 3rd round. With his small size but good pass defense, I think lining him up next to Mosley and playing 3-4 MLB would give our ILB core some more needed speed in the middle and with said speed, will just rip through a o-line up the middle on blitzes. Maybe it is me but I think he is worth the risk. What say you Ravens Nation?

I don't think we are in a position to make gambles in this draft. I think there are some safer options in the 3rd or 4th rounds if you looking to go the ILB route. I like Scooby Wright, Deion Jones, and I think Travis Feeney could be a mad man at ILB. He's quick and fast and very solid in coverage.

Lol, I thought he got drafted to play baseball in Major League

Doesn't mean he has to play. Russell Wilson and Kaepernick got drafted, too

I think they're saying the MLB acronym in the title confused them

Striker is just a terrible prospect at the moment, he's too small to play OLB in the 3-4 and I have doubts about him moving inside but I suppose he has a better chance of sticking if he does. I wouldn't touch Striker in the draft, if he goes undrafted I'd give him a shot but seems like a wasted pick in my opinion.

Having watched Striker a ton, unless he manages to put on weight, he is going to be a pass rush specialist only. I don't think he'd fit well into a MLB role.

He'd be a perfect addition to the Seahawks or Rams, IMO. Donald would really give him a lot of opportunities.

I'd agree he'd fit better into a 4-3. I could see the Hawks taking him since they are most likely moving on from Irvin.
