[News] Timmy Jernigan Got Better, But Wants To Dominate

26 posts in this topic

Step#1: shed the stupid, and totally unnecesary penalties. The rest will be just fine.

Two of them you can argue cost us two victories.  Oakland and I can't remember the other one.

Last year, some pundits questioned how much work Jernigan put in during the offseason, though he said he came into camp in tip-top shape.

He worked out w/  Darnell Dockett last off-season.  His workouts shouldn't be questioned at all.

hes got the physical talent, he just needs to get the mental down. His attitude is good so next he has to put it all together and along with the D-line working together

Come to camp in shape and you will be a PRO BOWLER next season TJ! BWilliams took 3 years to really become a dominant interior DL... I think TJ is on the cusp of a huge season (but he cannot derail the train by coming in here out of shape) Be ready for success in 2016!

You're killin me... I'm now racking my brain for the other game and it was relatively recent. If I don't get this figured out, I won't sleep tonight, Thanks ! lol

I believe it was the out of bounds hit on Alex Smith, on 3rg and long that started KC's first drive for a TD. The game went bad after that.

In the Oakland game he had a roughing the passer penalty that continued the drive after the Rookie TE had dropped the pass... which put them into the Red Zone after that they went for for a TD rather than tie... but what cost us the game was the horrible pass interference call on Will Hill who was in the spot prior to contact (which he has the right to occupy that space) and made a play on the ball... so technically it was the officials that cost us that game... Timmy just put us in a bad spot...

B williams was a first round talent but had absolutely no teqnique and came from a small school, thus falling to the third round where we stole him. Jernigan was also a first round talent and his off field issues dropped him to the second where we stole him as well.

Both great guys and great picks. I just hope we can keep both for a few more years.

I actually don't mind Jerningan roughing a passes every now and then to make quarterbacks see ghost. But he has to understand when to do it.

We are expecting great things from you, Mr. Jernigan. I love that you got the high motor, you just have to know when to pull off the play and not commit the costly penalties.

Be mature about it and take your line of work seriously. These seem to be your biggest shortcomings. You have the physical talent, now get your mind behind it and you'll be unstoppable.

Also the difference between Aaron Donald and Geno Atkins is that they have good defensive coordinators who can scheme better than Pees and can get them one on one matchups.

Study film on the Aaron Donald and Geno Atkins then. Repeatedly, until you understand what they are doing differently. Then create routines and drills that focus and emphasisze changing your habits. It's a long off-season so no excuses. Time to burst onto the scene next year.
