"I'm going to get home and let my hair down a little bit..." Not only is he in denial about his playing ability, he still thinks he has hair !

I wish you the best, Matt, but you may want to have a backup plan.....perhaps coaching.

he didn't play well enough, to me, to justify another team paying him to play. He didn't have the necessary mobility or arm strength to compete as an NFL QB. I know with Mallett, we wont keep Schaub and if we pay him to stay, then there are very serious issues with the FO.

A class act... too bad it didn't work out.

I agree...... Matt is definitely a class-act, and while his on-the-field play was not what we all hoped it would be, he gave it his absolute best, and if Miami had not been allowed to beat the crap out of him, that game may have turned out a bit better. However, he surely showed his great character by doing all he and J Clausen could do to help Ryan Mallet learn our offense as quickly as possible; they surely shared in the 2nd win of the Steelers along with Ryan. Very selfless of both players, imho, so huge thanks to them both, and the best of wishes for wherever they end up next year :)

The worst thing to happen to Matt Schaub was Joe Flacco's injury. He could have milked Biscotti for another 3 years but to the untrained eye, he looked done. He's a happening waiting for a mistake.

Well said. It does speak volumes toward their character to put in all the extra effort to help Mallet as they did

I said this last summer and got roasted myself.

Matt is a nice guy but signing him for 3.5 mil a year was a horrible mistake! That money could have been spent elsewhere like on Crabtree who btw signed for a 3.5 mil a year deal. What's even worse is that we still had a chance with him playing until his pick sixes. Then he gets hurt and we burn more cap space in more backup quarterbacks.

I said it then. If Joe goes down then we can find some pedestrian off the street because Matt won't pull it and we could have used that cap space on either keeping Ngata, a Cornerback better than Arrington, or a vet WR.

I the Ravens don't get rid of Schaub, they deserve what will happen as a result. Numerous times I have called it and people in this forum criticized me for it! Well what do you think now? You can't polish a Waste products! While he has moments of competence. in the end he chokes and it costs the Ravens. That is Schaub's legacy. Nothing personal. He just can't do it!

He may end up back with Kubiak in Denver. They have 2 young QB's that will need leadership when Manning jumps ship. We don't need him here. That's for sure.

You think he's a good backup? You must of missed what happened when Flacco went down Lol.

I was thinking more along the line of us getting one of his pick 6's to help us win.
