Neither as a starting receiver!! Campanaro plays injury free next year I bet.

I hope so I like Camp Butler did well at the end of the season and I like Daniel Brown's size but I. Would hope Camp can keep it together

Brown and Butler are nothing special. I really believe Campanaro plays pretty much injury free. He is on this new age training program that will shake the injury bug. He will be a little bigger and even perhaps faster and more burst. But his speed and explosion is already fine. Campanaro is pretty much living on a training island this offseason. He is hiring various trainers and coaches for better smoother routes as well as hands and route savvy. Campanaro will be a player in the offense. Ravens are better off with KO than Thomas who is 32. KO is going to get his recognition this year as the devastating blocker he is that strikes fear in opponents at guard or at tackle but likely at tackle since he is the only real left tackle option on the roster. If Tunsil or Stanley is there fine ravens have options cuz KO can play guard. If Tunsil is drafted before ravens pick then KO is the left tackle. And Tread can fill out the playmakers to go along a menacing OLine. Jensen looked formidable against Atkins and tuitt. He is a bad@$$. Urschel could be the most overpowering center in the league.

For once i like something you have said.  I like the idea of us reesigning KO and drafting a OT but if one isnt there, going with Judge Tread

Not sure, but if it's used it's typically to provide a cap cushion in the event of injuries. You also carry over any unused cap, so it's really not going to hinder you much if at all and could be a wash. If you have injuries, however, it could be very useful.

We may do it with Pitta, cut him June 1st & use his relieved cap after June 1st for injury purposes that could go to next year's cap space if it's (hopefully) unused.

They have used the post June 1 designation one other time and I can see it being used again on Pitta also.

I'm expecting the team to rework Webb's deal but not in the way most think. I don't see why Webb would take an outright paycut, but I can see him and the team doing his deal with another year or so, maybe two, that pays him incentives depending on how he plays at FS. For instance, he could have escalators that increase his contract depending on picks, Pro Bowl nods, etc. I think that would be fair for both parties.

Yeah, part of me even says let go of Brown. He'd save us some money, not a lot, but some. Then again, Smith is aging. We're in quite a dilemma. Arthur Brown just hasn't become the player I thought he would.

I think I'd rather take the hit on the chin with Pitta and cut him whenever. I don't want any dead cap into next year.

Cut Pitta Now.. take the cap hit now. I like our young guys we need to hit on some players in this years draft.

if we cut Pitta now we save 600k if we designate him post June 1 we save 5 mil but carry some dead money into next year I believe 2.2 dead money in 2016 and 4.4 mil in 2017

Which makes more sense to you if you were running a business?

600k isn't much money you can sign a low level ERFA or RFA at that price if you split Pitta's cap hit it saves you this year then you assume the 2017 cap would also go up to offset the dead money there. While we are tight against the cap this year there are only a couple UFAs Tucker KO Wright as the 3 big ones. Then the RFAs Aiken Trawick Butler and Daniel Brown being the top ones there with a few ERFAs to also add in there Jensen being the top option there and Morgan Cox and McCllelan as cheap UFAs Edited by Wildabeast88

Salary cap stuff isn't really relevant to big business expenses, since they'll be spending that money either way. It's just what you get out of that money.

It's the immediate future that really counts in respect to the cap, Pitta's salary is a pay him later prop. Dead money is spread out. Still counts as far as what your investment was. Note: was

Curious on why you would think/want Trestman would be fired

Lol. Wait you quoted me, but didn't realize I was responding to the OP.

I was responding to The OP saying if Trestman and Pees are retained he's through.

I'm justifying why the guy should and will remain the OC.

Zuttah only saves $2.5M. I honestly think we keep him for that price. Continuity along the OL is an important thing. I think Urschel has a place, don't get me wrong. I've been a fan of him since that draft & talked him up before anyone really did. That said, I wouldn't cut Zuttah because of Urschel. I would keep both. Zuttah played LG for the Buccaneers. I'd even put him at LG & have an OL of KO | Zuttah | Urschel | Yanda | Wagner since Zuttah has been a better pass protector than a run blocker. This way, he gets some help from both KO & Urscehl, who I think are better than him in this regard.

I think you're confused about Zuttahs abitilties. He hasn't been a very good pass protector. True he's only given up 1 sack but he given up 29 hurries which led the league amongst centers last year. Zuttahs is a far better run blocker than a pass protector.

I think the most significant move of the offseason will be what happens with Sam Bradford. FWIW, the eagles struggles this year were not on Bradford. Yes there is still the injury label and Bradford possibly being no better than an average to below average QB in the nfl, but he can make all the throws and is generally accurate (I attribute his early struggles to shaking off rust).

If for some reason the Eagles let him go, It is very possible he goes to Cleveland which allows them to go BPA. I don't think very highly of the class of QBs and bringing in Bradford could allow them to get what they need out of the position while allowing them to rebuild the talent base of their roster. I think Bradford could play Dalton level or better with good coaching and a good group of talent around him (which he should have assuming the Browns draft well).

The question is will the Eagles tag him (financially idk if they can, I have to look at that).

I read somewhere Bradford was wanting close to 25mil a year not happening and franchise would probably be close to that but he is an important domino if he signs before the draft. It could be one less player we have to choose from or a team could get desperate to trade up to jump San Fran possibly if they don't keep Kaepernick so either way it could affect our pick or picks from a trade

The notion that Bradford wants or will get anywhere close to 25M a year is laughable. Even if he were the biggest megalomaniacal QB in the entire league, he wouldn't still expect that kind of number. I've heard that Bradford will settle for an extension that averages between 14-16M a year somewhere...
