i hope they get it right in the draft on several picks because if they do not we will be headed towards the waters that the browns occupy. game changing playmakers is what we need especially on defense.

Draft 2016 is going to be fun to see who the Ravens get. With a draft position at PICK-SIX Do you think it will be a DB the pick fits and we need some guys on the back end or is it going to be WR or maybe O-line who knows? Its going to be fun to watch Oz and DeCosta work things out and if they can now trade comp picks the NFL just made it easier on this dynamic duo for sure.

We do have the best of both worlds in having both Eric and Ozzie. However, we need to begin nailing our drafts big time. Especially this year, there isn't much room for error considering the talent on our roster is considerably depleted and we lag in the talent department behind Cincy. So, I'm hoping Ozzie and Eric's motivation would be to make our team the msot talented in the league through free agency, cap management and the draft. We deserve it and they need to deliver.

I think weve BEEN nailing out draft picks. No one gets it right EVERY time and I believe we do better than most at picking quality players. Its up to the coaches to get the best out of them and enable them to have the best chance to succeed.

Agreed- this is the year that the Ravens need to knock it out of the park with their draft picks. However, I'd say that we need more impact players on offense than defense.                                                                                                    Of course, if 15-20 of the guys end up on IR for the 3rd straight season, it's not going to matter who we draft. I think the FO needs to take a closer look at the guys on our medical staff, as well as the strength & conditioning coaches. The Ravens are showing an alarming trend of ranking near the top of the league in season-ending injuries. You can't just chalk that up to bad luck when it happens repeatedly.

A couple more Perriman and or Elam picks than the dynamic duo might think about making it a triple headed trio to have the tie breaking vote.:) Let's hope the owner's wishes for a pass rusher gets fulfilled.

From one perspective, the way one evaluates a draft is by how many drafted players stay with the team.  Talent that sticks is a measuring stick for draft success. (Bold = All Pro) (Italics = 1st Pick)

2003 - Terrell Suggs

2006 - Sam Koch

2007 - Marshall Yanda

2008 - Joe Flacco

2009 - Ladarius Webb

2011 - Jimmy Smith

2012 - Courtney Upshaw

2012-  Kelechi Osemele

2013 - Matt Elam

2013 - Arthur Brown

2013 - Brandon Williams

2013 - Kyle Juszyck

2013 - Ricky Wagner

2013 - Kapron Lewis Moore

2013 - Ryan Jenson

2014 - CJ Mosely

2014 - Timmy Jernigan

2014 - Terrance Brooks

2014 - Crockett Gilmore

2014 - Brett Urban

2014 - Lorenzo Taliaferro

2014 - John Urshel

2014 - Michael Campanaro

2015 - Breshad Perriman

2015 - Maxx Williams

2015 - Carl Davis

2015 - Ladarius Smith

2015 - Javourias Allen

2015 - Tray Walker

2015 - Nick Boyle

2015 - Darren Waller

The first thing that glares out at you is the number of picks that have stuck the last three years.  But on closer inspection is that because these are high level players, or that our personnel needs were so bad they've managed to stick?  I count 23 players, how many are high level though?  To this eye, at this point, not many.

I'm not seeing quality drafting in this list. Now, we've decided to not pay some players and let them walk, but you have to measure a team by the current roster you've drafted and our roster is not stacking up with our division rivals.

i hope they get it right in the draft on several picks because if they do not we will be headed towards the waters that the browns occupy. game changing playmakers is what we need especially on defense.

I tend to agree. If we overcome injuries, we'll improve on that angle, but we must get impact players this draft.

I don't think the list above illustrates Nailed picks.  It may illustrate we've filled our roster with picks the last three years, but of what quality?

Steelers do FAR BETTER THAN US IN DRAFTS! Where is our Antonio Brown? How about our Leveon Bell. How about any real drafted offensive stars. They are good at D but terrible at O. They need an offensive draft advisory board. My guess is we will waste the 6th pick and trade backwards for more mediocre players as always.

However you want to look at it , Flacco needs more weapons. I'm not saying go and break the bank to get those type of players. All other Qb's in our division have nice weapons to throw to. We have two great GM's but who is responsible for scouting WR talent because that person is far way behind the rest of the pack!

in order to prove anything with that list we would need to compare it to the lists of the other teams.  Don't forget we have let several people go cuz they were priced out of our range of what we thought they should get.

There is way too much complaining on this board about a lack of playmakers. It's funny that people think it an even measuring stick to judge talent from guys with 1-2 yrs on their belt vs guys with 4-5 . Their is plenty of talent and the chances of another year with as many injuries is unlikely. A Healthy Ravens roster has almost enough weapons, minus WR. That is directly why Ozzie mentions getting 1-2 WR playmakers. TE and RB are set for talent for the next few seasons, the o-line will get sorted out in the next few months. Defensively speaking, there are more areas of need. I fully expect 2 offensive draft picks in rounds 1-4 and the rest being defensive players.

Let's see if the dynamic duo can figure out how to get Flacco's cap number under $28 million.

Sooner or later Eric is going to want to be his own man and I wonder if that will before or after Ozzie leaves. If Eric leaves does he take some scouts with him.

Compensatory draft picks can only be traded from 2017 onward as I understand it.

hes not going anywhere. He knows he's only got a few more years until he's the big dog. Plus bisciotti has him well compensated for his patience and loyalty. His family's here in Baltimore as well- he's 100% invested in this franchise. I'm so relieved we already have ozzies successor lined up , and he learned from the best so there won't be much of a change in the way things are run. We're so fortunate to have our team in such good hands.

They have nailed every top ten pick we've ever had and literally knocked it out the park.

Come on April. This draft will make or break us, and we might get that one player that propels us right back into contention.

Perhaps he should think about retirement....

As a Ravens fan from the day the walked on the field against the Oakland Raiders at Memorial Stadium, I cannot fathom why Steve Biscotti isn't shaking Harbaugh down to make some changes. I guess he's satisfied with 3rd place in the division 3 years in a row. Since the team didn't even come close to .500 while taking 3rd this year means [to me] the gap between the Ravens and the 2 teams recently taking the top of the division is widening. I already contend some of the coaches (like the Strength & Conditioning coach - because of all the injuries) should be fired. And I'm starting to doubt whether Ozzie and some others have lost their Midas Touch. I also get frustrated because when we do make the playoffs, we are 5th or 6th seed...and never get any playoff games at home. I see that John has learned how to whine as good as his brother... just not with all the physical dramatics.

agree with you on everything. Not having a ridiculous amount of injuries and game changing incorrect penalties will put us right back into the mix. If the FO can hit at the first couple picks, other teams should watch out (I'm one of the optimist on here)  :06:
