[News] How Do Ravens Close AFC North Talent Gap?

39 posts in this topic

Leon Hall,Andre Smith,Reggie Nelson,Vincent Rey,Adam Jones,Mohamed Sanu,Marvin Jones and George IIoka are all key players/starters for the Bengals who are going to be UFA's.They may be able to keep some of them but there's no way they are going to be able to keep all or even the majority of them. This was the Bengals big year. They'll be competitive going forward but I don't see them being a top contender moving forward. They're about to have some holes on both sides of the ball.

this division used to be more about physically, but now its more about speed. we much match it. Look at the bengals, they have playmakers on both sides of the ball that can take it to the house anywhere on the field. Look at the steelers, they have homerun hitters on offense and fast linebackers that can cover. The bengals and steelers have explosive offenses, we dont. Time to open up the offense & let Flacco make his money.

It's a bit depressing that Bisciotti doesn't see the talent dearth on this team. Hopefully he was just being measured with the fans; not wanting us to see his dismay.

I think he meant wins and not players. And it was criminal intent that was displayed by Burfict. Hs name actual should be Inflict cause he's aiming to hurt or mame his opponents. A life time ban will probably ensue come his next infraction. Hopefully. i'm praying he doesn't kill someone on the field. But his style of play reminds me of the play that paralyzed a player. But as they say, Karma is mother.

Yes, I think you're right.  But in the end, they could not retain their composure and that did them in...I've been upset at some of the unnecessary hits the Ravens have given out this season -- thinking about Timmy Jernigan in particular -- that have cost us dearly.  His unrepentant attitude and Harbaugh's defence of it was even more troubling.  Have to learn from these things.  It is never worth it.

Completely- Agree.  It doesn't show competitiveness but Malice.

The bengals defense gave up the fewest points in the league this year. The sqeelers defense performed better and better as the year went on and they seemed to both be a defense with an attitude. Two AFC North defenses that you do NOT look forward to facing. Pack a lunch type of deals (watch their playoff game). Since Pees got here we cannot say that about our defense. We just cant! We dont play with an attitude,we are not nasty and physical. We are not even as physical as the browns on that side of the ball. The AFC NORTH is built on defense and physicality.... its not by accident that we have finished 3rd in the division over the last 3 seasons. When we figure out that Pees is our problem.... we can take our rightful claim at the division once again but I am afraid that until Dean Pees is gone... we may be looking at a 4th year of mediocrity in a division ruled by physicality! (we are not bullies of the division anymore)!
