[News] Poll: Rooting For Steelers Or Bengals?

66 posts in this topic

After tonight's game I could never root for Cincy ever again, ever, never. Foul fans of a magnitude that surpasses most rectal excretion. You just don't throw drinks and debris on an injured player while being carted off the field, even if it was Big Ben. I'd much rather see things the way they turned out. And the refs got this one right by penalizing the bungles with 2 consecutive 15 yard penalties. Marv Lewis must be humiliated and should consider not coaching at this location again. As for Burfict, he should be permanently suspended from football, period. The crown shot on Brown was malicious with possible extended physical injury to this player. Not cool. I really like the sport but not players who behave like morons.

Our warriors and those of the Steelers have been clashing for 2 decades now. We've seen scuffles, hard hitting, broken noses, shoulders, some cheap shots (looking at Hines Ward) and general rough housing. You know what we've never seen?

Refs having to form a barrier between both teams in pregame warmups.

Players getting into it with the visiting teams coaches.

Players harassing refs and putting their hands on them.

Players head hunting opposing players to injure them.

Fans throwing garbage at opposing players being carted off the field.

Players exagerating their celebrations to such a degree that they run off the field into the tunnel and dissappear along with fellow players.

The Steelers are the Steelers. They're aggressive. But what we saw from the Bungles tonight was unbridled bafoonery. Their coach should be ashamed of losing control so wantonly.

Well im pretty sure now everyone knows now why i really hate the bengals and nothing they did last night surprised me... Their fans Are trash... their players are trash... The outcome of the team in big games are trash... What I saw from the bengals was a bunch of pepped up thugs thinking that they have already won everything... '0-3 bottom of the division baby'... lol I heard karma was a... well you know the saying...

Baltimore and Pittsburgh have a great rivalry because both teams respect the hell out of one another. The Bengals? They don't even deserve a single ounce of respect, which is why I've hated them so much over the past few seasons as they've turned into another so-called 'rival'. Burfict is trash. He doesn't deserve to play this fine sport we all love. I don't know if you all noticed his hit on Ben. He placed his arm around Ben's right bicep so he couldn't brace himself for impact. He wanted to hurt him, just as he wanted to hurt Brown on that absolutely disgusting hit at the end of the game. I really hope the league comes down on him and gives him a season at home to think about how amazing his talent is and how wasted it will be when no team will touch him with a 39 & 1/2" pole. And then the fans. THE FANS! What a gigantic group of losers. Throwing things at Ben as he's being carted off the field. I don't hate the Steelers at all. As a matter of fact I like when they do well, because it pushes us to do even better. That's respect. Something the Bengals don't understand. On a 5-11 year we beat them twice and they're going to the Divisional Round. The level of respect that exists between us and the Steelers exists because it's a storied legacy of close, chippy, action packed games that go straight to the whistle mostly. Cinci showed up a few years ago and literally pushed their way into a rivalry between the true class of the AFC North and I hope their time to fall has come as free agency should leave them fighting with the Browns for 4th place next year. I am utterly disgusted by the Bengals and the fans present at the game who participated in the degradation of their franchise on a national stage. The one part that baffles me is that I didn't think it was possible for my hatred of a team to be so strong that I would even start to dislike Marvin Lewis, a coach I respect and have respected ever since our historic Super Bowl 35 victory. But he is ultimately at the helm of this team and the lack of discipline this team has is something I would have never expected from him.

What happened to .....

"My god, are we really that big of a hater, that we get pleasure out of watching other teams lose, just because we didn't make the playoffs smdh. C'mon eisenberg"

Because I said "yess, the bengals lost"? Lol. I honestly just don't like the bengals. Im glad they lost, but at the same time I'm not sitting at home hoping they all lose just because we are not in the playoffs, I just don't like the Bengals lol. Its all about seeing how the playoffs play out.

this game was boring in the beginning, but when Shazier hit Bernard in the head, and wasnt flagged, i was like, its about to get ugly. These teams hate each other, and tempers were out of control. I believe Burfict hit on Brown was payback!
