Interesting that at the start of OTA's and during camp we kept hearing how this was the deepest the Ravens have ever been at WR. They realize now it was just a bunch of guys who can't play. Pay no attention to guys running around in jerseys and shorts with great speed and catching everything. High school players can do that. We need Perriman to turn into a weapon and get another one in the draft.

I hope that Flacco can learn from Mallett playing and see that his WR's can actually catch the ball. Get the ball there and stop these touch throws which you are clearly not capable of completing. Else all the WR additions won't help. I prefer Mallett personally if Flacco can't connect with receivers. I really would like to see Mallett get reps with the starting offense next year. Flake please take something away from the games you didn't play this season. You got all the mechanics I want to see you use it!

Givens, Williams and Matthews dropped three bullets for first downs in the Bengals game. Steve Smith dropped 4 TDs this year. Drops always have seemed to be a big problem with this team.

It would be awesome if Perriman ends up being good.

It would be interesting to see if Boldin would come back but only at the right price.

He would be a great slot guy and bring the "attitude" that you can never get enough of in the NFL. Granted, he is older but he still had 69 receptions this season. Just a thought.

I just don't see WR as our biggest need. Our offense was good this year. Mallett lit it up at the end throwing to Aiken, Butler, and Williams. Perriman, Camp, Gilmore, and SSS will return next year. Lousy D (which did improve the second half of the season) was the reason for the losing record. we couldn't come up with turnovers. Our #1 pick should be a CB, so we can replace Lewis with Webb. Pick #2 should be a pass rusher. Ballhawks and pass rushers are playmakers too, you know.

we had the deep threat with torrey the physical with boldin and the sure handed chain mover in pitta plus a strong running game and we need to get those back. i believe we have chain movers in maxx and sss and the deep threat(perriman)is a ? now we need the physical.

True playmakers = money. I have a feeling the Raven front office translation for playmaker is a Golden Tate, not Calvin Johnson. Eric Decker, not Brandon Marshall. Vincent Jackson, not Mike Evans. And so on...but maybe this time they'll dig deep in their pockets and surprise us? Personally I think our receiving corps has depth and looks promising. I would say if we're going to go big, get the type of ballhawk that has areas of the field named after them when they're defending.

I still like our receivers.. The question is who we keep, I see SSS, Perriman, Aiken, maybe Waller, Camp (hopefully he hasn't deterred coaches by still not staying healthy cuz he can play) and that leaves a spot for probably JB... and that's if we don't pick up any free agents or rookies which Ozzie said we will... I don't mind those receivers at all, Aiken as a number 3 instead of number 1 will help a lot

we have to keep the ones that we have for depth too, i would keep Givens, AIken, mattews,D.brown,SSS, Perriman, butler, clay. marlon will b cut, waller to the PS, Camp is injury prone. we might end up keeping 7 WRs next year. i dont think WR as "bigger" need, biggest needs are PASSRUSHER> OL> CB> WR

The only receivers that can expect to be on the roster next year as SSR, Aiken, Perriman and mostly likely Butler and D.Brown as depth. Guys like Waller, M.Brown and Campanaro have just not shown enough to grantee they return, whether due to injury or just not capitalizing on their opportunities. They could be back depending on how things shake up if they work hard enough. Clearly though the Ravens WR corps does need improving when watching the last season. There is no more room for guys that will develop over 3-4 years in the tight salary-cap era. There can only be a minimal amount of those types of players. Just go out and draft play makers or else you'll overpay. WR Laquon Treadwell or WR Sterling Shepard would fit that bill nicely. Might be a good idea to use K.Clay offensively next season as well. He definetly has the wheels and elusiveness in space.

How is that going to happen when you have other more important needs? Yea, you might get two receivers but they%u2019re not going to be number ones. Kind of what Ravens have now? One guy at the very end of his career and one just trying stepping on the field if he don't get hurt again. Both of these guys will break done before the seasons end. It%u2019s only natural

We need a player then lets look for a good running back like Henry. We drafted Jamal Lewis in the first round that worked out great. We need a big running back.

Anyone know about Keenan Allens contract? this was his 3rd year in San Diego. I would think he is due. They are looking to move the team so things are going to be disruptive over there. Might be a good time to make a stab at a productive young WR with NFL talent and experience who might even get better. Good fit for the Ravens, good size, good speed, hard to cover, good hands, scores TD's.

please lets just get a free agent receiver who is proven since we aren't able to draft or develop one. Lets use our picks on pass rush, corner, safety and left tackle. We need to just accept this is one thing we don't do well so lets rely on someone who can do it and get their free agents.

I agree, when we draft a receiver in the first round, it has never worked out for us.

I hope that Aiken continues to be a solid player for us. In the last half of the season, Aiken was covered by the opponent's best defenders since injuries forced him in to the #1 WR spot. When SSS and Perriman come back, they are likely to get the bulk of attention from the top CBs so Aiken could be a very viable asset and successful target. Aiken really stepped up when we needed him to this year. He has made some tough catches, taken some brutal hits, just shook off the pain and went on to the next play. Hope Aiken fits well with our plans and schemes next year. Aiken worked his backside off and has proved he can play as tough as any Raven.

I agree about 1000%.

I love how Aiken attacks the ball, and fights for YAC. He truly plays like a Raven.

I also really like how Jeremy Butler stepped up in the end of the season. Another small school undrafted FA who could turn into a real gem for us.

OMG! They are insane. This obsession with wide receivers is killing the Ravens. We need Defense and they are worried about more wide receivers. How about some people who can pressure the passer? How about some linebackers who can actually cover someone? How about some safeties, period? Good grief, man, are these guys that blind?

Get 2 WR's before next Summer, at least. If we get 2 really good guys to add to the team, I will be happy. If we get 2 or 3 WR's and none pan out or stay healthy, I won't be so happy. Look at Cincy's A.J. Green and Pitt.'s Antonio Brown and Bryant and Wheaton. Without 2 more 'Bonafide' pass catchers, we're not going to beat those aforementioned teams, or frankly, much of the rest of our schedule.

let the WRs we have battle it out! Alshon Jeffrey would be a likely choice for me because he knows the system. LBs & DBs are what we need the most

Getting a new WR and you can't "UTILIZE" the ones you have already! We beat the hottest team in football so they say with backups on Offense! The QB makes or breaks you simple as that!

Butler has potential and impressed me for sure. Matthews is 1 I am keeping my eye on also. Who knows, some of these guys could end up as very capable contributors next year. Hope so.

Since Perriman missed his entire "rookie season", didn't play one game, not even pre season...does that make this upcoming season his rookie season then?

I want to see us draft a WR that's Big, Fast, and can Catch the Ball. But most of all, I want him to have the Fire of Steve Smith. Our WR's don't scare anyone.
