It's a nice luxury not having to really worry about kickoff returns on us

For sure. Ever since THAT game in Denver I've had a nervous tick about kickoffs and punts.

Hopkins is awesome. Where was he drafted?

The draft was still in New York that year.

Looks like this is going to be a gritty and slow-moving game. If the Chiefs go up by two TDs by half-time that could be close to curtains.

Who do the Texans even have on offense besides Hopkins? Who is their RB?

Really nobody. They just force feed Hopkins the ball.

Alfred Blue still seems to be their lead guy, despite his seeming inability to get more than like 3ypa. Behind that they've got Chris Polk and (iirc) Jonathan Grimes. It's a pretty anonymous committee.

Chiefs need to win. The Texans will get slaughtered by either DEN or NE.

The Texans always seem to get slaughtered by the Cheetahs anyway.

I can't help but feel like one of our safeties would have let Kelce slip out of the tackle for a first down.

I agree with you on that.

I'd go for it

I reckon this will be one of those low-scoring games where every score matters. Doesn't hurt to keep the scoreboard kicking over in this early stage, especially if it means the Texans abandon the run and become (even more) predictable. But if they were facing a side like the Cheetahs or Colts I'd probably agree.

Yep, without fail every single time.

The Chiefs are the type of team that will play EVERYONE close. They need to advance.
