2015 Playoff Discussion Thread

4,852 posts in this topic

Going to change it up for the playoffs, and make one big thread dedicated to the entire playoffs. With not as many games played as in the regular season, we can keep everything in one thread. So full free to discuss everything from the Wild Card Round to the Championship Games in this thread. On to the Wild Card............

Chiefs @ Texans: Someone had to win the South, and whether it would have been the Colts, their prize was facing a Chiefs team that has won 10 straight to close out the season. Justin Houston will be back, and momentum is on the side of the Chiefs.

Steelers @ Bengals: Andy Dalton looks to be out, and guess if a Ryan Mallet led Ravens team can beat the Steelers, a AJ McCarron led Bengals team can do the same. Can McCarron do what Dalton hasn't been able to do or will Pittsburgh finally break the Tim Tebow curse?

Packers @ Redskins: Kirk Cousins has surprised many by leading the Redskins to the playoffs for the first time since 2012. Unfortunately they play Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Now the plus side is Rodgers hasn't looked like himself as of late, and the Redskins may just catch them at the right time and advance to the divisional round.

Seahawks @ Vikings: Raise your hand if you would go to a playoff game in January where it is expected to be 6 degrees by game time? The Vikings host the Seattle Seahawks who crushed them in the regular season. Now that the Vikings defense is healthier, will that change things and send the two time NFC Champs home?

Bengals Steelers is interesting. We gave the Bungles a blueprint of how to shut them down.

Fitzgerald Toussiant starting at RB will be very interesting to see. He will be the starter. I don't think he's anywhere close to Bell or Williams in terms of talent. Cincy my be able to pin their ears back and play the pass most of the day.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Bengals actually win a game. I think the Vikings look really good at winning their match. I also think Washington may very well win their game. This is a very interesting playoff season.

Thanks, JO, for your always insightful look at the week's games.  It is wild card time, and I am looking forward to four exciting games this weekend.  All of these teams have had rough patches, and stretches of looking like they are world beaters.  I like the fact that they are truly wild card games, and anything can happen.  Come on kick off time!

The Chiefs are long overdue to win a playoff game.  Andy Reid and the team did an amazing job starting 1-5, and then winning 10 straight.  I hope they have a great afternoon and end up winning over the Texans.

It's a nice luxury not having to really worry about kickoff returns on us
