End of season big board

He's been getting PWND for the last few weeks. He had a very unimpressive last 3-4 games.

I'm reaching here but maybe he's saving his body for the NFL. Bosa took plays off this season and played with less tenacity but no ones talking about that.

He changed his mind and declared

As does Fuller!! He has exceptional separation speed as well. And an occasional drop doesn't mean bad hands. It means human!! And I will take a great player with occasional drops over a slug of an athlete with great hands any day. If Fuller gets open on practically every play and makes spectacular catches to boot then how come he is not on your top 50 or whatever??

because he's not in the draft...

isn't he #25 on your list?

Edit: nvm got it now

I think that as well and it wouldn't be the first time a college player has done that but I have to be honest, he hasn't been impressive in some games. He has had 1v1 opportunities against weak opponents and didn't really win the match-up. I don't know if that's a concern but its something to think about.

True. I like VH3, but Treadwell's my guy.

I do like Treadwell a bit more but I'm still high on Hargreaves, his last game was bad but I still believe he will be a great player, I think his skill sets will carry over very well to the next level, outside of the game against Michigan his other "Struggles" have been a bit overblown IMO. I think we'll address OLB/CB in FA honestly.

Did you see his game against Ridley?

It was not awful, besides that 55-Yard Catch which was absolutely insane, I cannot say that was an awful game, def. not one to be proud of, but it wasn't that bad. The catch Calvin Ridley made was insane, the ball placement was spot on, and the receiver made a good catch. Tell me how much more can Hargreaves do against that? It was pretty tight coverage honestly. I will say Ridley did have a step and had to wait on it, but the recovery by the CB and FS was good enough to be able to disrupt the play. I think his Michigan game was bad, but the others are overblown, I'll still look into the other game. FWIW, Calvin Ridley is insanely talented, he is being compared to Amari Cooper and when he is draft eligible I honestly think he could be a top 10 pick.

but facing pro qbs and wrs, spot on throws and great catches will happen much more frequently, and as much as I HATE to point out his size, the truth is he can be exposed quite a bit in the NFL because he isn't 5'11 with long arms, he may be as little as 5'9 with proportionate arms, playing against nfl wrs and qbs he can only put himself in perfect position so often against those perfect back shoulder throws, he's gonna be inconsistent in the NFL and I think he will be prone to some real ugly games, but I also think he'll get a lot of turnovers because he has brilliant positioning and ball skills. Idk man I still wanna like vh3 and as much as I wanna call the size a non factor, it has been a factor in College and will be at the next level as will

THe game showed that he won't be able cover physical WR's in the NFL.

I don't know if that's any indication he can't handle physical WRs. He did very well against Treadwell twice, he is one of the most physical WRs in college football if not the most.

The 5'9 height surely would be concerning but at 5'11 the height is not a problem for me. Yeah, at times he gets bodied out there but so many guys his size do as well. I've seen Chris Harris Jr. get out muscled at times and I've seen the same with Darrelle Revis. If his height comes out negative then I'll retract my statements, but as much as a concern it is, I think that you can say the same for any lock down 5'11 CB, we saw Torrey do that to Joe Haden in the 2014 season finale.

I'm not saying at all that he has no chance because he's shorter, I'm saying that his height and lack of top end speed has been an issue At times in college, it's hard to think he can just eliminate those concerns in the NFL. It may improve, it may be almost insurmountable, we won't know until he's in the league, but I do see it as a concern as of now, as badly as I wanna disregard it and say his incredible skill makes it a non factor

How often were they lined up against each other? Hargreaves doesn't play the #1 much, there's debate on whether Hargreaves is even the best CB on his team.

They were lined up against each other plenty of times, not on many instances but if I can recall he did a great job against him in the Under Armor game.

Those concerns are certainly plausible, I do see a reason to question his speed though his recovery speed is truly great, I will admit in terms of speed, the concern there is legit.

I've seen Hargreaves do well against guys with size, and not so much with guys who are taller. I think the concerns are legit but I guess time will tell how he'll do there. NFL WRs are a different breed than College WRs which is why I will admit to that.
