Ravens fans nightmare Super Bowl

By NFL rule, Burfict should have been ejected before the game started for crossing the 50. Its a plain and simply rule and he broke it.

Joey Porter did that same thing against Cincy on a couple occasions. I'm telling ya,, Burfict reminds me almost exactly of this generation's Porter (whether that's a good or bad thing is debatable I'm sure).

Agreed. The way I look at it, I don't want to give the Pats the satisfaction of hating them more than the Steelers. That and I will hate the Steelers even when Brady and BB retire.

This.

I think this is actually the Joey Porter rule. But it is a rule and Burfict is lucky he wasn't tossed. I accept your comments on the Bengals...sorry I misread you.

I dislike burfict, not because he is an aggressive player, but because he does stupid things that cause flags like in that denver game.

No worries man.

- That's interesting about the "Joey Porter Rule". I didn't know that, but it makes sense.

- And yeah, I could see Burfict making a completely ignorant mistake and getting tossed out of this one.

He's an aggressive, intense, athletic football player for sure (a tackling machine). But, he's definitely not on any Wonderlic Honor Roll, lol.

Watching Redskins fans reacting to them making the Super Bowl would be hilarious though, that and all the ones coming out of the woodwork.

I wonder how many of them will be going to Fedex for the first time this Sunday wearing a brand new Cousins jersey while claiming they were fans all along.

Washington Redskins vs. Pittsburgh Steelers.

Can you imagine a worse Super Bowl ?

I can't.

This weekend I'm a Redskins and Bengals fan.....

They've loved him ever since he came out of Michigan. :P

I would like to the see the Bengals make it to the Super Bowl. Marvin Lewis deserves it. Nothing against the Bengals really. Can't stand the Broncos with Elway being their GM. Hope they lose their first game.

If you lived in Cincinnati you wouldn't be saying that. Plus Marvin already has a super bowl!

It would be funny to see it happen without Dalton though.

OK, so KC won and goes to ne and wins.  pburgh won and goes to Denver and loses.

So it's Denver and someone. Even though I think they may beat the Pack, that someone will not be the Redskins(sorry Captain Kirk).

I can see Redskins beating one game.   I see zero chance for them to beat the Cardinals though..

Okay we are half free of this one.

Just need the Broncos to do us a favour and the Chiefs to carry on the fight for freedom and justice and more seasons of the Breaking Bad universe.

I dislike Burfict because, if you watch every squirmish and argument that happens throughout the game, he seems to be the one standing there and the main culprit. After every play he makes, he is showboating or talking trash in some form or fashion.

At some point, he is going to have to get his head out of his own butt. Whether an opponent does something blatant to him or his own coaching staff has to do something. It's just a detriment to his own team. The rest of them are out there playing their asses off and he's getting dumb 15 yarders because he acts like a child.

Only problem is, I think his head is already so far up his own butt, that he can't see daylight to remove it.

For me it's Broncos/Steelers/Patriots vs Seahawks.

This week that is certainly the updated case :) Still rooting for the Chiefs and since the Vikings lost I will root for the Packers. I like that they are a community owned team.

^Complete truth right there.

I've hears rumors (not actual reports) of many Bengals players none too happy with how that crap cost them in the biggest game of the year. AJ Green was one of the most vocal about it from what I heard (can't substantiate it though).

Geno Atkins. Carlos Dunlap, Michael Johnson, Gilberry, Mauluga, and all of the offensive players out there giving it all to win a playoff game with a backup QB had to sit and endure that crap.

If something doesn't change or tighten up with the Bengals (hello Marvin),, the legit talented players on the team are just screwed. That's completely unfair to them.

They don't need Burfict,, they were doing more than fine without him anyway.

Adam Jones might end up sticking around. But, he is nearing his last years in the league. Cincy has drafted/groomed young defensive backs (Kirkpatrick, Denard, and a couple others). They would be fine if he just moved on too.

Although it's not real likely, Chiefs vs Packers for the 50th anniversary Superbowl would be really cool.

I think it's really possible. Chiefs have a really strong DL and are going against the weak Patriots OL. They have quality CB and safety that could eliminate the NE passing game and pass rushers that can put Tom Brady into retirement. It'll be a close game imo.

I'd love to see the Chiefs win this weekend and make a run at the Superbowl. They are playing really well, especially on defense. I hope you're right.

Yeah, me too lol. I also think they could very well best the Broncos since they're familiar and I'm really confident they can beat the Steelers. I almost want a Chiefs-Steelers game because KC will have home field then, but we both know how dangerous Pittsburgh is so I'm not sure I can stomach them actually getting to the Super Bowl.

Cardinals now missing few important players on D, compared to their regular season roster. Don't sleep on Rodgers.

Didn't they beat the Pack 38-8 without Honey badger?

That doesn't count in playoffs. Remember how Denver trashed us at M&T before we went there for divisional round? Or what Steelers did to us in regular season game last year?

I cannot see the Steelers winning this week if the reports are true that Big Ben has torn ligaments, D Williams is probably not playing and also A Brown not playing. That is, not only most of your offense, but some of the best players in the NFL not on the field or hampered by injuries.

I think they lose even with a healthy Ben and Antonio.

This is true. Well, the Steelers did lose Bell before our game and obviously he played a big role in that shellacking against us.

And from what I'm hearing, Adams may not be playing. But then again, Rodgers "makes everyone better" so who knows. Anything can happen in the playoffs.
