As a fan of a division rival, even I hope he doesn't retire just yet (especially going out after a season-ending injury).

Suggs has been one of the true elite players at his position. And, the NFL is a much better league with guys like him playing in it.

Suggs' influence on games is terrific, especially in heated rivalry games with Pitt. I love watching every time the Ravens play at Heinz Field and Suggs starts terrorizing them. Great stuff.

Hope he comes back for you guys.

he is coming back, stated in our presser today. Thank God

as much hope I had for pitta, I honestly believe we have no need for him considering how much we can save cutting him. We have 3 you guys tight ends that all have shown promise. I think crocket is going to be our monster going forward

I think Suggs plays 2 more years at least. Guaranteed if he has a big year coming back and we dont win a super bowl he plays at least 1 more after 2016, if not 2 more seasons.

Something is going on with our players that we must be unaware of.  I really think he'll be back, the question being, will he be happy returning?

He wasn't happy this season once he found out his boy Ngata was traded.

Really?  Do you have a link? I would like to read this. Also why are we trading or letting defensive players walk for this inept offense.

I honestly hate our offensive philosophy and the players are underwhelming also.

If suggs was to retire  that would be the end of our team.  I think him and SSS were our most significant losses.

He said if his Achilles is fine and he regains feelings he would like to play next year even if it is not in Baltimore. Exact words except for the mojo word. Apparently he is not happy bout the Ngata situation. There seems to be hard feelings Biscotti wanted an explosive edge rusher in the draft after failing to put any real heat on Brady in the playoff game. I mentioned it before but everybody only wanted to hear Suggs is returning to anchor the defense. He wanted the ravens to draft Grady Jarrett and the fact Grady lasted til round5 means management did not take his recommendation seriously as the defenses leader. Decision makers drafted Davis instead. Suggs probably would of been good with Grady going by mid round3. But he went round5 and some think Suggs feels decision makers did not respect his input. BTW as for Grady my opinion Grady is future pro bowl caliber. He is a penetrator and was played out of position in college at NT. But as a smaller but powerful and explosive penetrator he handled the nose pretty freaking good!! He put on a bad 16-17 lbs after his bowl game to get his weight numbers into the 300 range so he would not be labeled undersized for the nosetackle position he played. His 40 time went from 4.80 to 4.98 or something like that. As for Suggs it would be cool for him to play and coach up Zadarius and another edge rusher.

Its not career ending like some ponder, but a nice break... This man "Suggs" is a beast and his age is not a factor... and if it were he could be a situational, cut 25% of his playing time and if he wanted to, play for another 3 years...Don't give up on the most dominating D player in the last 5 years...including #52...and if he don't play in Blt, it's gonna be a playoff team...

Sizzle's definately mellowed this year, but I'm wondering if it had less to do with Haloti and a lot more to do with his getting divorced and having to fight for joint custody of his kids, who he adores.

It's been a hard year for Suggs in a lot of ways, but I didn't think the "mellowing" was necessarily such a bad thing - that woman leaving just took a whole lot of craziness out of his life.

I think we'll see a much more mature version of Sizzle next year, with a determination and resolve that only comes from facing adversity.

So you think a woman deteriorated his play and then he got hurt... and Players (e.g., Haloti) leave and people replace them (e.g., Williams) Detroit didn't miss Haloti, neither did Suggs...This man plays by spirit, and until he can't anymore...This team did not start out with the best D in the league...too many ?marks and No Offense... Why would he feel anyother way than dejected... when you observe where this defense has gone in the last 4-5 years, and not may Draft picks hang around after the 1st 3, does that not tell where he is coming from.... Oz has been given a long leash and not many have panned out... Time for Steve B to move on... Oz's legacy should have ended long ago....

oh you mean how two hall of fame players have retired, others too expensive, some haven't panned out, Injuries.

I love how all this is being said about Suggs saying things without any links or proof and people suggesting they know how he feels..

And Oz isn't going anywhere nor should he...
