Forget the Dolphins trade for Maxwell and Kiko Alonso. The Dolphins are concerned with Byron Maxwell's shoulder issue and the deal is off.

It was also going to include a swap of first round picks, Eagles move to 8 and Dolphins move to 13th.

Not so fast

http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6680/byron-maxwell

Dolphins acquired CB Byron Maxwell, WLB Kiko Alonso, and the No. 13 overall pick in the 2016 draft from the Eagles in exchange for the No. 8 overall pick in this year's draft.
The deal was agreed upon Monday, but there was a hang-up Wednesday morning when the Dolphins were reviewing Maxwell's physical. He suffered a sprained SC joint in his shoulder Week 15 and missed the final two games. Maxwell allegedly told the physician that he still can't bench press or do a push-up, but the Dolphins laughably have still signed off on the deal. Eagles "GM" Howie Roseman has pulled off a heist, moving up five spots in the first round AND getting the Dolphins to take Maxwell's albatross six-year, $63 million contract. Mar 9 - 11:08 AM

I banged my head against a wall when I first saw the parameters for that trade. The Dolphins got jobbed, and I've got no idea how the Eagles managed to convince them to part with anything at all for the pleasure of taking on Maxwell's contract, much less swapping 1sts. If he loses his job in the NFL, Mr Roseman could probably move to Alaska and become a snow salesman.

We're both awake awfully early.

Can't sleep for some reason - and what better to do at 5am than to read about the latest madness out of Miami. ^_^

There are reports they swapped 4th round picks as well in Eagles favour.

Scares the bejesus out of me given their weapons at WR and RB. Green made his living on crossing routes in the middle. I do not look forward to seeing that offense at full strength.

I don't fear them. Apart from that '14 game (and we later beat them in playoff), they are not very effective against us.

Steelers offense is going to be insane. I can't believe Green wasn't a more targeted FA. Dude is 6'6" and is very athletic. Will open up the middle for them.

We may do well against them but they still play 14 other games. Their offense should be top 1-2 in the league.

True, but this is why I would love to have Myles Jack based on what a number of posters have said about him.
