Rams with some moves today, they cut Chris Long, Jared Cook, and James Laurinaitus

Looks like they might be pitching deals to both their FA corners.

Not just that. They may know something about Peyton Manning's playing status for next year that we don't know yet. Manning's cap hit is huge next year, the Rams are interested in acquiring Manning if he keeps playing. They are preparing to add Manning.

Its crazy how many players have retired so far. A bunch of teams are going to look extremely weird lol. The steelers are even more salty about the Maxx William's pick now that Heath and hanging up the cleats

If Peyton plays for the Rams next year there's no way that works out well for either party.

Agreed, As one of my favorite qb's... I really hope he retires on top instead of dragging out the inevitable

I guess it's only making something official that we already knew. Alex Mack is expected to opt out of his Browns contract but Ian Rapport says a new deal with Cleveland is also possible.

#Browns C Alex Mack is expected to opt-out of his contract, sources said. But a return to Cleveland on a new contract is a real possibility

So now Colin Kaepernick is going to remain in San Francisco for 2016. According to GM Trent Baalke, Colin will be on the roster come April 1st, which is when his $11.9M salary becomes guaranteed.

Andre Johnson will be one and done in Indy. The Colts plan to cut the long time veteran.

He should retire, guy was a beast but his days of contributing are over unless he is willing to take vet minimum for depth.

Jags have $80M of cap space? Sheesh.....

I thought there was supposed to be a salary cap floor with the new CBA  and it was supposed to be eased into and be in full effect by 2014 where you're supposed to spend 92% of the cap and this was done for the players so I just don't get how some teams are still getting away with being cheap.

I'm not sure if this is a team by team basis or whether its the whole NFL combined that needed to get to this number but still man this is bullcrap.

Bears have officially placed the Franchise Tag on WR Alshon Jeffery.

Rams CB Janoris Jenkins has reportedly turned down a 5 year $45M deal from the Rams. He has fired his agent and is going to hire the same representation that Revis has.

Jags don't have that many big contracts like other teams do. Their highest cap hit according to Spotrac is only $8M.

Jags Top 5 Cap Hit:

- DE Jared Odrick: $8M

- TE Julius Thomas: $7.3M

- OT Luke Joeckel: $6.7M(Rookie Contract)

- OT Jeremy Parnell: $6.5M

- CB Davon House: $6M

Jags Cap Hit 6-10:

- QB Blake Bortles: $5.6M(Rookie Contract)

- OG Zane Beadles: $5.5M

- DE Dante Fowler: $5.3M(Rookie Contract)

- DT Sen'Derrick Marks: $4.6M

- LB Paul Posluszny: $4.6M

It makes me sick even looking at them. The Raiders aren't too far away from them either with something like $75M (around that range). I understand Reggie isn't going to overpay for FAs, but he's in a good position to lure some free agents. They surely need CBs like we do.

I'm pretty sure they have a deadline to reach that figure (since a lot of that money is rollover cap from last season and they haven't really had the chance to spend anything yet), so they'll spend up fairly big in FA. But I'd expect they still go into the season with $35M-$40M in space so they keep getting the rollover space in future years until they need to sign guys like Bortles, Robinson and Fowler to big-money contracts.

The funny thing is that, with one or two exceptions, even their bad contracts (Beadles, Clemons etc) have little or no guaranteed money so they're very easy to get off the books.

Tom Brady the team player, taking a very team friendly deal.  His hits were only 16 this year and 17 next, I think, before the extension.  Wow.  Awesome team mate.

Some AFC West news.

- Raiders and Punter Marquette King agree to 5 year $16.5 M deal with $7M guaranteed.

- Broncos will tag Von Miller but will not be using the Franchise Tag. They will use the Exclusive Tag per PFT. So anyone want to give up 2 first round picks for him and big money, have at it.

He might actually be worth that
