I said it could happen before and now the Jets have officially asked D'Brick to take a "significant" pay cut in order to re-sign Ryan Fitzpatrick. It is said he is willing to take a pay cut but a third option is retirement.

Wow. Not what the Jets were thinking. Wonder if they knew he would retire if they would've asked him to take a pay cut?

Ryan Clady is now a New York Jet. Broncos send a 7th Round Pick and Clady to New York for a fifth round pick.

From what I've read, it was a possibility even before they asked for him to take a pay cut, albeit, not a high chance.

Zomg Bill Belichick can't draft anymore!

Seriously, though, some recent Patriots draft picks are way bigger stinkers than Ozzie has had.

I also like that the rumor mill and conspiracy train kicks into overdrive when the Patriots can't admit they were wrong. 'Oh, well he was a real bad egg - he was the worst person in the world!', 'We drafted him in the 1st round anyways, but we had the wool pulled over our eyes!' 'Free Hernandez!'

Let's not even talk about that team because every time we do, their trolls magically appear.  They must have special search engines running.

Dumped because he can't stay heath and is apparently a locker room cancer.

Thank you, Rams.  They gave the Browns more rope to hang themselves.

The rams sold the farm for the number 1 draft pick in a less than stellar QB draft class. Tennessee wont mind at all.

Like clockwork! lol jk

It was a super aggressive move and I think, done in large part, to garner new interest in the team. That combined with the 'we wanted Kobe to have his night' (endearing to LA fans and fans at large), Hard Knocks, and lots of other publicity events.

It makes a ton of sense and is probably smart business. Now, whether the QB they draft works out remains to be seen. Wentz has the frame and some of the attributes but, then again, a lot of guys did.

The Puttsburgh Steelers have released CB Cortez Allen.

So the Steelers secondary might be in worse shambles than last year. I don't think they have any notable names but they may have gave away their draft strategy.

Hope Eli Apple goes before they get on the clock or someone jumps them before he is there when they get on the clock.

They can take Apple if they leave us Alexander.

I think the Steelers go WJIII if available. Showed very strong interest at his pro day

Would be the first time in forever they've taken a DB in the 1st. Probably haven't taken one that early since polamalu.

I don't think they have much of a choice at this point. Cockrell didn't do bad last year and Gay is good in the slot but Cockrell could just as easily be a flash in the pan while Golson hasn't played yet due to his injury.

I don't think the Allen cut means all that much though either as he was pretty terrible 2 years ago and was injured last year and has a high salary. I tried so hard to shop him in the forum mock.

Oh I agree that need to take one, in fact I've thought that they should have taken one in the 1st for like the past 4 or 5 seasons.

The Houston Texans have released QB Brian Hoyer. Hoyer already has interest from the Steelers.

Yeah that's true, hell I don't think any QB is special this class. I think i'd have rathered have Kap for a season and get some more offensive weapons with the picks but hey im not the gm.

 That makes no sense

Surely there's something we as fans don't know, similar to us cutting Will Hill. That's the only thing I can think of, despite their story of "a long-term deal being unattainable". If that were the case, surely you'd keep him under the tag for another year and let him walk after that.

Otherwise, he's such a hot commodity that he's probably signed a massive new deal already and we're just waiting for the media to catch up. Hopefully it doesn't affect our KO comp pick.
