According to Ian Rapoport, Casey Heyward to the Chargers. 3 years for $15.3M.

Jermaine Gresham back to the Cardinals. Took less money to go back there. Other teams offered him 4 year deals.

Peyton dropped off but not Sanchez level.

Also you have to add peytons smarts to that. His play dropped off, but his intelligence was still high

That's a serious steal for the Chargers. I don't know how they pulled that off.

I'd kinda disagree, but to each their own.

Its hard to think that anyone would say they would take Sanchez over Peyton, but comparing numbers and removing their names from the discussion I don't think too many people would take the guy that threw 9tds and 17ints.  Obviously Peyton is smarter, but with that defense it doesn't take a elite, or even a good qb to win.

Kaepernick update: All quiet. Broncos holding firm (offering 4th round pick). No Browns movement. Niners chilling. @nflnetwork @AroundTheNFL

I'm not disagreeing with your comparison; in fact, you make a good point. However, we Ravens fans can attest to the fact that mediocre qb play + a great defense aren't a good plan in the long term.

We can add another retirement to the list for the 2016 season. Packers NT BJ Raji is retiring from the NFL.

Not completely retiring. Going on a 1 yr hiatus. Something bout family problems. Heard this on NFL Sirius.

Wow. Great signing by the Jags, imho. Prince Amukamara 1 year deal 5mill (3mill garanteed). It's a good deal.

The Jags are going to be legit.

Patriots just traded Chandler jones to the Arizona Cardinals for Jonathan Cooper and a 2nd round pick.

Wonder if the Pats plan on using both 2nds to jump back into the first round.

Huge get for the cards! Pass rush was their biggest need. Be greatly weakens their oline. Might have been better just trading the 1st and keeping Cooper and their 2nd

Seems like a temporary acquisition for the Cards as Jones is probably gone next year in FA. Smart for the Pats to at least get something for him. Cant say I'm really feeling the compensation but they need to improve their O-line and could use a high draft pick.

Cooper certainly hasn't looked like the 7th pick in that draft that the cardinals were hoping for.  Injuries played a role of course but he wasn't even the full time starter last season for them.  I feel the 2nd round pick was bit much. I mean they couldn't talk them down to a 3rd considering jones had that little hiccup off the field.

- Jaguars sign OT Kelvin Beachum, and according to a report Beachum is being brought in to compete with Joeckel at LT.

- Steelers have signed OT Ryan Harris to a deal.

- Steelers NT Steve McLendon is supposed to be signing with the Jets shortly.

- After the trade with the Patriots, Cardinals have offered G Evan Mathis a 2 year contract.

According to Schefter, Patriots "coveted" Jonathon Cooper and wanted him. Arizona wanted a pass rush, they got it. Both teams got what they wanted according to Schefter. The Pats are in the same boat with Cooper, as they have until May 3rd to give him the fifth year option or not.  Jones already has his option year activated which makes his cap $7.779M so I imagine the Cardinals will get a deal done to extend him and lower his cap hit.

Isn't he mulling retirement?

Got some news on Chris Long, I am sure we have waited quite a while to see where he would end up after being a FA for a bit

http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/id/14983305/chris-long-new-england-patriots-agree-1-year-deal

He joins the dark side up in New England although it is only a 1 year deal so hopefully he only has to play there for a year

Well done resisting the pun temptation. That earns the rare and coveted +1 from me since I rarely up/down posts out of your effort

Raiders are in the process of finalizing a new contract with Donald Penn. This would mean KO will be a Guard.

Karlos Dansby will be released from the Browns

Browns tanking for 1st pick in 2017? I mean their roster is horrible as it is. Plus they let every key player go so they can recoup comp picks next year.

Meanwhile, Sean Spence reunites with Dick LeBeau in Tennessee and signs a 1 year deal with the Titans.

Next years draft should be very good compared to this draft. There are some major guys that would have been taken in the top 5 if they were able to come out this year.

Next year would be a very good year to be sitting in the top 10. Watson at QB, Fournette at RB, Tabor at CB (he's a better prospect already than VH3 is) and Garrett at DE will all be studs at the next level.
