What changes you like to see at M&T Bank stadium?

I was in DC today and joked about it, they said they'd gladly get rid of their pathetic under maintained Metro that each line breaks down daily and no center track which means delays. And they'd throw in

RG III as well.

A retractable roof. More seats. More ways to make it louder. We win every game at home. The Superbowl runs through M&T

Stadium. Never wearing those ugly mustard pants again.

Don't think it's possible to add more seats and a retractable roof to a stadium that's already built. Where would the roof go when it's not being used? We have a fairly compact open stadium. Edited by Cillmatic

I'm no engineer but I think it's possible to add the roof. It's even possible to add more seats but it'll eat into the sidelines reserved for the teams.

Why Not? Look how the Dolphins remodeling their stadium. Its going to be with retractable roof. All they have to do is take down the upper level in both end zones and connect the upper from sidelines and make it round and put a roof just to cover upper stands just like the Seahawks stadium. And M&T will be louder with 80,000 seats.

pees on the sideline,

Agreed. No coach up that press box area. They need to be on the field to see whats going on and get on players cases when they're not doing their job.

Why does it bother people that Pees is in the box? I'm not a fan of Pees but I don't get it. Nobody complained like this when Caldwell was here.

My concern with coaching from the box is that it disconnects you from the players. It's easy to lose feel for the pace of the game in the box. When I played in college, both of the coordinators coached from the box, and I remember one time the position coaches on defense tore the coordinator a new one at halftime (yes, in front of players, no less. crap program) because he was so oblivious to what was going on, and the players were freaking pissed at the calls. The OC was pretty good but players even got mad at him because he wasn't getting any feedback.

Look at how when Kubiak was here, he was constantly talking to Joe and they were, at all times, connected. When Caldwell was here, and coached in the box, there was clearly no chemistry between him and Joe.

Coaching from the box gives you a better cerebral sense of what's going on, but you lose so much of the chemistry and feel. I'd rather have an assistant up in the box relaying notes while the coordinator is on the field.

I prefer a coach on the field as well, but my overall point is nobody really talked about Caldwell being in the box. That's kinda why I am confused here. If you didn't complain about Caldwell, why complain about Dean? I do agree that it would be nice to have him out there. I think's better for morale and other things, but the box does give a wider view. I guess it's all preference, but I do agree with yours & share the same.

As for M&T, I still like the idea of a controlled roof to block out the rain on the fans & to help preserve the field, especially since we are going grass. I wouldn't overuse it a ton. I like the idea of playing outside in the cold and forcing the other team into our territory. It just gives us another advantage, and we can use the shape to boost the acoustics of the stadium.
