What changes you like to see at M&T Bank stadium?

73 posts in this topic

Would anyone be in favor of a roof or dome being added over M & T Bank Stadium? I think even though as much as Seattle's 12th man has to do with pumping in crowd noise, something similar to what they have that can keep the noise from escaping too much.

Also part of the renovations Miami did they actually moved the seats closer to the field, 25 feet closer to the field to be exact. Or at least take some of the elevation away in the 500 section and move the 500 section closer to the field so it's not too high of an elevation like it is now. Also would like to see us add more seats, maybe go to 75,000 attendance in honor of JO or go to 80,000.

I'd like some of these ideas. I would be OK with a dome because we can control when we use it and when we don't. That's a good thing. It would also make it possible to better control the conditions of the field. I like the idea of making the stadium sound louder, even though it's already loud.

Not sure how realistic it is, though.

Im all for that. Like why not rebuild both end zones upper levels. Connect to rest of sideline upper levels make it round. That would add 80,000 all together.

Move the whole stadium about a 1000 miles south

How about Snyder's team doing that? Then the next day Bisciotti takes out a full page ad in the Washington Post "Welcoming DC to Ravens Nation."

For those that went to a game this year and utilized the upgraded WiFi, did you notice any difference in performance?

Worked fine for me.  I just posted a few photos on FB and stopped by here a coupla times.  I didn't do anything major.

I can tell you from experience living in Charlotte, and having been to games at Bank of America Stadium. Having escalators is huge for fans and many fans use them to get to the upper level. The way the Panthers have it set up, they have escalators that take you to the 300 level and 500 level. The Escalators go up before the game and during the first half, and if fans want to go down during the first half they need to use the ramp. Then the Panthers switch the escalators to down after half time so fans can leave if they desire. They also have elevators for disabled fans as well.

I don't see why not put Escalators in at The Bank, I mean Camden Yards has them to get to the upper level at Orioles games. It would be a popular addition among fans and to say if you don't want to walk up ramps buy lower level seats, is very poor word choice.

Its not feasible. Its been discussed and actual engineers have commented on it. There is no place to install them except outside of the existing frame.

As for the buying lower level tickets, whats wrong with that? Before I bought my PSLs for years I sat all around the stadium, midfield upper deck, endzone uppers, all around the ll, I actually had upper deck psls that I sold the tickets to offset my cost of my lower level seats. Anyways, I have bad knees too, thanks to 12 years in the Infantry so I stay my happy butt right in the lowerlevel. Dont need a cortizone shot just to get to my seat, lol. 6 p's

TVs in bathrooms

12143124_837728226341440_901246721512449

That would be nice. Honestly Id like to see a study done on switching to a trough(sp?) system vs urinals. Would ot get people in and out faster?

While were talking TVs how about some by the "smoking sections"? Ive been asking for that ever since they went smoke free. And with that how come people can still vape or use ecigs whereever they want?

Seriously? You have to go out of your way to be this dumb. Numerous studies show that vape and e-cigs don't have any known health effects at all, other than addiction to nicotine which only affects the user? Isn't that common sense? C'mon and pay attention. Hell, the United Kingdom recently said that vaping could soon become a licensed medicine to help people quit smoking. I'm pretty sure there are no known secondhand effects from vaping and e-cigs, but someone else could probably confirm that.

Ok first off it has been widely debated about vaping and the toxic chemicals being inhaled, along with the nicotine and chemicals being injested in the upper respitory system rather than the lung. There are ZERO long term studies having been conducted. Do a google search, youll find studies done contradicting the study you mentioned. In any case maybe you didnt get my question about it. I personally dont want your cotton candy smelling vapor blown in my face in a cloud thick enough you can actually cut it with a fork anymore than someone wants to walk through cigarette smoke. Ignoring all health and anything else, bottom line its well rude. Cant think of a better term.

Always a plus

I never understood why they cant run more on gameday. Its like they just keep the same schedule. Unfortunatly I dont think the Ravens or Os have anything to say about it. Thats MTA and if they havent changed by now I'm not sure they ever will. Baltimore Police have stepped up to deal with traffic but the MTA just seems hardheaded. Prob Steeler and Yankee fans running em,lol

Baltimore needs an subway system like the D.C Metro

Needs?  No.  Something like that would be WAY costly in what is already financially difficult times.

K-Dog traffic is terrable in Baltimore during Ravens games and it can be just as bad during O's games too. Depends if theres a big crowd. I spent an hour at stadium after the game waiting traffic to ease up a little. But during O's games i can get out very easy unless Yanks or Sox in town. We need advance subway lines so we can take it all the way up to the counties and go home safer and smoothly.

Don't think downtown Baltimore is big enough to justify the making of an EXTREMELY costly subway system.

Every single Ravens game Ive ever attended, i got in and out of the stadium parking lots with absolutely no problem.

lol @ anyone that thinks Baltimore has too much "traffic" and needs a "train" or "subway" system. Go spend some time in DC, New York, Chicago, Boston, LA etc etc etc and get back to me.

I am glad they are replacing the artificial turf with natural grass. If it saves one knee or achilles injury a year to one of our players it will be worth it.

I live down there, and you don't need a distanced based fare structure where it can cost 7 dollars eachway during rush hour each line seems to break down daily not to mention $5 to park, unless you can get a second mortgage. There's trackwork every weekends with delays. Baltimore at least has a dedicated

funding and only $1.70 each way and $4 for an day pass. The circulators in Charm City are free. And I can even use my SmartTrip Card to pay.

On Sundays the first train should be at 7 or 8 am, even where there's no football game, the early

Church service crowd could help ridership. I gave up and parked in a garage on Lombard Street for the games at $15 and walk 3/4 of a mile to my tailgate.

Well in the Old days when the Colts were in Baltimore i took an express MTA Special Colt bus that left from Timonium fairgrounds that got me there to Memorial Stadium less than 20 minutes. Now the light rail takes an hour from Hunt Valley to Camden Yards. The Underground subways would take less than 40 minutes from Hunt Valley to Camden Yards. Light rail is riding with traffic on the roads is why it takes longer. Why not give us a choice Express Bus service or Light Rail? I rather take express Bus service.

did you look/ walk around the city or just go straight to and from the stadium? DC is extremely congested and the layout is whack so they have a legit metro system.

baltimore is one of the least congested cities and extremely easy to navigate through.

Went straight to and from the stadium. Watch the game and hop back on metro. I wouldn't dare park in D.C

The MTA is not allowed to offer special event services because the ICC said it was a charter. The

Ravens offer bus service from various private charter companies, I used to take it until the fare went up to $25 round trip from the Southwest Park and Ride. At least if you make a reservation, you get a reserved seat and all coaches have restrooms on board. Their website is

http://www.ravensride.com

I now park in Downtown Baltimore at the Park Under Garage for $15 on Lombard Street and walk 3/4 to the former Bowie Roost tailgate in Lot H before the game.

Thats why I'm all for building extra subway lines like the D.C Metro. Like Stations in Hunt Valley, Owings mills center, Westminster    And in Annapolis. That would be fast service without the hassles of fighting traffic
