[News] Ravens Have Sixth Pick In 2016 NFL Draft

Time for a BIG running back like Alabama's Henry

I thought the same thing at first. Because he is exactly what this offense needs. Only problem is, he is a definite 1st rounder, and we really need to go defense 1st round. I doubt we'll be able to snag him, but damn would it be great. Dude is huge and Heisman trophy winner

Come on ppl, we don't need OL or CB that bad. Our O-Line has been the same with the additions of some surprising ones like Jensen and how Mr. Mathematics played at Center. We just need to sign K.O. to keep him in Baltimore. Our pass defense lead the league in "Fewest Yards Allowed" from week 9 on so obviously the communication got better and the secondary performed well in the second half. We definitely need another WR like ODB or Amari Cooper who can just come in and contribute right away. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten lucky drafting a WR in the 1st round.

Laquon Treadwell or Sterling Shepard for WR. Both could step in make solid contributions as a third down chain movers (the guys you count on when it matters) but also line up outside as necessary. Treadwell is a soid hands receiver with size, similar to a Boldin type player but slightly bigger, not a burner but quick and good separation. Shepard is quick and makes contested catches look simple, not a burner either but very shifty and elusive in space. Think SSR type player, only just getting ready to start a career, wait we also have SSR to groom him.. Either way, add another solid play maker at receiver, plus a healthy Flacco, SSR and B.Perriman and a much improved Aiken. Sounds like a formidable offense to me. Need a good coverage safety and some pass rush. I would prioritize a safety over pass rush for the simple fact that if other QB's have to hold the ball longer the D-front 7 can get home. We have guys that can get to the ball, the backed need to be able to force more coverage sacks.

By most of what I've read, Henry will be a day 2 pick.

I'd say, at best, he's back-end of the first round.

Don't know if we can get Ramsey or Hargreaves. Cahrgers and Jax are in front of us and both need help at corner. I would guess that we could land a top OLB or WR. But for now this is all speculation because it's very early and we need to wait for the combine.

If they're taken before we pick, I'd say we snag Treadwell and have him and Perriman for the future. Just a thought.

Facing the Steelers and Bengals WR's 4 times a year....IMHO the Ravens should go CB in the 1st round unless Bosa is still there (which he won't be).

Go get a Offensive or defensive Gamechangers.. preferably Pass Rusher, Turnover maker, or TD Maker.

And you always should go Pass Rusher over CB because pass Rush effects everything on defense.

So go BOSA DE/OLBr, Treadwell WR, Myles Jack OLBr/DE, Robert Nkumdeche DE, Ramsey FS/CB

Heres.. my new updated dream draft second go round.

Round 1, Bosa DE/Olbr,Myles Jack OLBr/DE, Robert Nkumdeche DE

Round 2, Shallique Calhoun DE/OLBr

Round 3, Le'Raven Clark LT(New franchise LT, Big 6'6 320lb Texas Tech 3rd rnd prospect)

Round 4, Braxton Miller WR 6'2 210 (Option Qb turned WR, has burners take the top off speed and great athlete)

Round 5 Aaron Burbridge WR Mich St 6'2 190

Round 6 Cyrus Jones CB Bama(Bmore Product, elite Returner similar to Tavon Austin so can fill that role, and also play 3rd CB for Ravens)

I say 2 pass rushers early, because you bolster a weak pass rush and then you have 2 book end pass rushers in a year or 2 when Sizzle and Dums contracts are up...etc

Still dont have the Ravens Comp Picks.. I would expect a couple 4ths at worst for Taylor,McPhee and who else..?? So Ravens should have 9-10 picks again easily get...2 WRs,2 Pass Rushers, 2 CBs, and a LT

A bit outdated, so just an estimate...

http://overthecap.com/2016-compensatory-draft-picks-update-432015/

Probably two fourths (McPhee, Torrey), and maybe a 6th for Owen Daniels and a 7th for Tyrod.

Keep in mind that, although the NFL doesn't disclose their comp pick formula, they do acknowledge that the majority of the formula is based on contract size. So the fact that Tyrod is a starting QB on the Bills doesn't really up his value much. Wouldn't expect anything more than a 6th round comp pick for him.

Basically, we will get at least one 4th and one 5th, likely two 4th's. The rest will be later rounders that don't really matter a ton generally.

Yeah it can't hurt to have two 1st round WR playing for you. I think Joe wouldn't mind to have them as well :D

Well I hope you are right and that we'll be able to get him, if Ozzie and Biscotti have their eyes on him. To me, that would be one of my top priorities is getting a true #1 RB. Because the identity with Forsett as the #1 and Buck as #2 is not intimidating. And Taliaferro can't stay healthy smh.

I agree 100 % forsett to me had a nice breakout and comeback season but he is not a long term or even an intimidating back now. Buck to me is to inconsistent and not a no 1 back so I agree I would love to see the ravens find a true no 1 that can lead us for the long term.

I'd go pass rusher/safety or corner/then WR. With the stable of TE's, and WR's we have the bones to build a nice squad. I liked Waller b 4 he was IR'd but I hated that Trestman only threw him quick screens behind the line of scrimmage. He should have been sent up field and slant routes to take advantage of his height and catch radius. As for our DB's, there were twice as many opportunities for interceptions that hit their hands and was dropped. Since we lost Terryl Austin to Detroit our DB/safeties have lost their fundamentals and attack mode. We could have been up around 16 - 18 int's for the season if they had held on to balls or simply followed the ball. A lot of the passing TD's against the defense were simply our guys not tracking the ball and making a play on it for turnovers vice trying to make a big hit or poke the ball out after the fact.

We need a S more than a CB. Webb and Smith turned on toward the end of the season and Wright has been very solid, plus that CB Will Davis from the dolphins who went down in the first steelers game was a big surprise and played great in his first few games, but Kendric Lewis sucks. can't cover worth a dang, drops int's and is always getting called for pass Interference. Will Hill needs help, and we havent seen much from Brooks and Elam, so we need a playmaking safety who can cover and help the corners prevent big plays over the top.

First we need to re do Flacco's deal an then cut Eugene Monroe. Resign Osemele to play left tackle an were good there. First pick of the draft should be a pass rusher an if that's not there then get a corner.( the highest rated olb or corner gets picked first but which ever one u don't get we pick in the second round) Third round should be a wr or tackle. The rest of the rounds look for playmakers. I would like to see the us bring in a solid wr in free agency that's in his 20s that can make a good impact an play for the team for a while.

For our future I propose the CB-S Jalen Ramsey from Florida State. I think CB's are the prime picks for us. Another option would be Mac Alexander from Clemson.   Check him out in the championship game.  If these two are taken then Vernon Hargraves from Florida.  I know we will need another OT since Osemele and Monroe have their issues so Ron Stanley from Notre Dame is my choice.  Most probably Joey Bosa and McCaffrey will be taken but if either are there then the OZ choice is on.  Without doubt Joe can restructure to keep Tuck as the default FG is a Ravens trend. Good bye Schaub and Clausen.

IMO I'd rather see Jimmy Smith at FS than Webb.

Ihile everyone disliked this I actually think it could work, smith fits the style of a safety and I think he would learn quick in that role.

We have plenty of heavy hitting safeties on the roster, they work well as SS but we haven't had a true cover safety since Ed Reed. All of the popular safeties coming in to the draft like Jalen Ramsey and Deon Bush are raw heavy hitters. They've made some good interception's but quite a few of them were lucky and they missed a lot of opportunities looking for that big hit. Despite our need to bolster our backfield I dont think we should use a 1st rounder on any of the safeties. Take a look at Sterling Shepard WR out of OU. He reminds me of Steve Smith not only with his size but his tenacity, route running, and catching ability. People may not value him high enough for an early 1st round due to his size but I think that if we pair him with Breshad Perriman in the future, we will have an explosive vertical offense that will play to Flacco's strengths. With a high powered attack with addition of one player we can use more draft picks to bolster the defensive side of the ball.

have you not heard of ladarius webb? Hes the safety now moving forward and he's the biggest ballhawk on our team.
