[News] Ravens Have Sixth Pick In 2016 NFL Draft

116 posts in this topic

why is Jacksonville at 5 and us at 6 in the draft when were both 5-11 and this beat us this year.

Strength of schedule is the tiebreaker for draft position, not head to head.

Jacksonville has a higher pick because they had an easier schedule therefore they got the higher pick. The conference games and head to head to not matter in the order.

Picking at 6,38,and 60 plus keeping in mind OZ can trade our three compensatory picks at this years Draft should put us back on the map. We also need to sign KO and Tuck.

Comp pick trades aren't allowed until 2017 draft.

An inconsistent job of acknowledging that Ravens won the matchup? Not enough to boost our record to 6-10 as it should have been, but accepting enough that we bet them to give them a head-start picking in the draft?

Congratulations to the league, not funny.

Injuries or not, my thought is Mr. Bisciotti will have everyone on a short leash. The man is a winner and isn't comfortable where his team has been the last two years. He won't be much for longsuffering.

i see the browns and cowboys drafting qb's so that will drop tunsil and some of the secondary players down to us. if we resign osemele somehow than pass rusher, cb or safety will be at our disposal. chargers will go defense and jags either lt or defense

Can I get a link to where you got that from?Every article I've read say's it starts in 2016.

I do see conflicting reports, but this is where I got it from...

http://www.patspulpit.com/2015/12/5/9837490/nfl-will-allow-teams-to-trade-compensatory-picks-in-2017

This article is also more recent than the one's that I see suggesting trades will be allowed in the 2016 draft.

I don't see anything definitive though. May not even totally be decided yet.

This year apparently has a relatively weak draft class compared to recent years. I wouldn't be upset if we traded our first rounder this year to get a 1st rounder in the 2017 draft.

I cannot find another link but they passed the trading of comp picks and then later decided to move it back to 2017. That is probably why there are few reports. I remember getting notifications about it from bleacher report as soon as both moves happened.

Don't know if we can get Ramsey or Hargreaves. Cahrgers and Jax are in front of us and both need help at corner. I would guess that we could land a top OLB or WR. But for now this is all speculation because it's very early and we need to wait for the combine.

Erm, Ray Lewis wasn't a top 10 pick. Derp, derp.

In any event, let's hope we can end up chalking this past season up to an investment in talent. CB seems to be the obvious area of interest, but maybe the OL should get some consideration too.

How would you be able to accomplish that while guaranteeing the team you deal with will have a top 6 pick next year?

Four teams, not five, had worse records, Mink. As usual, you don't do your research and never proofread your articles.

Been looking at a few mock drafts. So far most people have us either taking Stanely (OT), Alexander (CB), or Treadwill (WR) hmmmmmm not sure what to make of it. I don't think we should reach for a LT. We found gems like urchel, jensen and wagner in later rounds
