At least we got that big win last week to knock Pittsburgh out of the playoffs.  It was totally worth the loss in draft position, right?  Right?

Good:  This disaster season is over and we can move forward to next season.  I hate saying that I'm happy football is over, but it was honestly a bit painful to watch this team sometimes.  Looking forward to coming back refreshed next season.

Still was IMO. Kept them from clinching at the Bank.

A waste of a season, I'm glad I didn't bother to watch most of it. I hope we nail this next draft, and that includes actually seeing the players on the field. I hope we find some way to keep most of our roster off of IR, and maybe just maybe I'll actually be rooting for this team to get into the playoffs and the Super Bowl instead of keeping our rivals from it.

So true the sweep was worth it and to just watch them leave our field with their heads hanging low. PRICELESS.

The Bengals have more team speed then us.Especially on defense. We didn't have anyone that could threaten them deep and they knew it.thus I believe our losing streak to them.

I'm still pleased about it. We dropped roughly two spots and are still in the Top 10. Perhaps I'd feel differently if we were to fall out of the Top 3 or something of the sort, but I'd personally gladly give up a few spots for a victory over arguably our most hated rival.

I only want to mention two things...

Firstly, the pass defense was excellent for much of the day to contain AJ Green outside his touchdown reception. Dean Pees and the players should get a lot of credit for stepping up their coverage and pass rush.

Secondly, Ryan Mallett is exactly who I thought he was from the prior week. I said last week that he was erratic and had a grossly excessive amount of underthrows, even when he was completing the pass. People argued with me and said he was so good and so poised simply because he won.

Fact of the matter is that the Steelers RARELY blitzed him and forced him to make throws. He definitely made some good ones, but he also was, again, very erratic. This week, the Bengals decided to make the newcomer uncomfortable and blitzed him a lot. HIs composure completely was lost and he looked like a child with some of his antics. He was receiving more than enough time for most of his throws, but he was so rattled by the few hits he received that almost every blitz led to a hurried decision and an underthrow. I was very wary of this happening this week but this pretty much confirms it for me.

I fail to understand how a quarterback with so much pure arm strength will have so many underthrows. It's shocking to see how bad he can be.

After going from Schaub to Clausen to Mallett, I hope fans see how much worse off the Ravens are without Flacco.

Ugly season, yes. But we never gave up. We kept fighting. We (well, the players) believed we could win every game we played. And we were competitive in all but maybe two. Of course I'd rather have the wins, but I'm glad my team has fight and integrity.

once again no turnovers. Turnovers win games and that is something that has eluded us all season . We actually got 2 interceptions last week and guess what ? We won. That is the biggest thing that needs to be addresed and worked on this offseason. We need to squire some ball hawks. Sadly Lewis has not worked out. Create turnovers next year and try to stay healthy and we will be successful.

This is true.Lewis could have won the Jacksonville game.

Same here. Sweep of steelers is always worth it

Fourth quarterback of the year, so why not call 60 pass plays? It'll be fine.

It does seem rather strange. The running game wasn't doing much, so that should shoulder some of the blame, but Mallett's averaging just under 50 throws per game in his only two starts. That's not a favorable number given the circumstances.

That may be true and I am not saying Mallett should be our starting QB, but for me I like him, he has great arm strength and he is accurate from what I have seen, missed throws could be him or WR, I did see fault with both. But he shows fight and I do like that and given time (not 2 weeks) I think he can develop into something special. not trying to change your mind just speaking on what I think.

He is what he is! I am not sure of the need for criticism. All QBs have good and bad games. Last week Mallett looked better than usual. This week he looked about average for a qb in his situation. The Bengals are one of the better defenses in the league and has beaten the Ravens many times in recent years and has a streak going even with Joe.

He looked about the same this week as last week, except the Ravens lost and he turned it over.

Thanks Ravens. Wasn't the season I hoped for, but I did get to see the two best wins firsthand. #HateTheSteelers #LoveTheRavens

Now let's go to work to ride this ship for next season!!!!

Agreed there, but that can be accomplished with less than about 50 throws per game. I personally wouldn't be comfortable if that was the main reason behind the amount of attempts.
