lovie smith runs the tampa 2 though which is really nothing close to what we run.

not sure why people want it since its mostly a cover 2 scheme.

not many blitzes and its relies heavily on the 2 safeties the cover everything deep.

well maybe a change of scheme is what we need. We already blitz entirely too much anyway for not having much pass rushing talent. But then again a lot of that had to do with suggs being injured and that could change in the draft. Just all depends on which direction we go. If we fire pees and draft a safety high then maybe we will be better off implementing a new scheme and running more cover 2. Lovie could work out if the FO decides to go in another direction. That being said I highly doubt it would happen. Edited by January J

we dont really have the players to run that scheme though.

other them mosley who do we really have and even he aint that good in coverage.

daryl smith could be he lost a few steps TBH.

a. brown has looked lost in coverage  as well.

orr does not look that good either.

tampa 2 all 3 lbers need to be able to cover a lot space well.

Yea hopefully we can keep him for a while. Even when teams keep the same scheme and change OC's theres still a lag in performance for a bit. Probably why we've finished strong and started slow the last couple years

that's why I said a lot can change after the draft. We may take a safety and a good cover lb in the first few rounds-Daryl Smith and A.Brown may not even be on the team next year. Like I said it's not likely , but if we hire a new dc who knows what type of scheme he will bring or try to implement. Edited by January J

While I think sss might have returned anyway- I can't help but think that him falling about 80 yards short of 14000 yards and 30+ receptions away from the top ten of all time might have had just a little something to do with it. I know that if it were me I would not want to go out with one more year on my contract with those 2 milestones right in front of me well within reach. He may say he doesn't care about records and things like that- but would you rather go out in a 5-11 season after tearing your Achilles or after a winning season while topping 2 significant milestones ? That's an easy one for me.

Dude I don't think we'd draft back to back 1st round receivers. Its not how our offence has been designed sense the beginning. Not only that but if trestman turned us into a top 5 offence I think he'd leave and then were left trying to match an OC with those wrs which seems to look like a headache. I'm liking Ramsey to pair with jimmy so webb(Or whichever safety is playing back) wont have to favour a side and play with more range.

part of our problem is we draft late in the first round, top end talents are gone, we draft this early and have the chance to get a talent like Treadwell, A TRUE 1, you have to take him at the right spot

Treadwell , SSS, Perriman , Aiken , Camp, & the 3 amigos (TE)

sss will help train up the WR, then our RB and FB,

I can come in at 48 and QB this offense,

lastly we draft good defensive players in later rounds we can not draft a WR in later rounds none of them have worked out.

we are in the perfect spot . Cleveland will take bosa and the next team to need a QB will be SF,and we are in front of them so let the trade offers start,

lol,, you are right , allow him to get those milestones and let him mentor our young WR corp show them how to play angry and most of all be TOUGH,

Yeah... I bet it did the opposite. KO killed it.

Yeah, definitely didn't scare any teams. Solidified any varying opinions and shows his versatility. Someone is going to PAY him handsomely.

We absolutely dont need to go to a Tampa 2 or even Cover 2. None of our LBs could cover a cold with a kleenex. Need cover 1 hybrid where everyone is crashing down and a fs back there to cover up, along witb a ss that can cover and be reactionary, which honestly Hill is. Thats his strong suit. React and go lay the wood.

I think you and Ravensdsfan or whatever their name is would be great pass rushers if the passer was Dean Pees lol. I know you guys will apply pressure to him all day haha

I don't see how KO would get more than Monroe. Monroe got a upper market LT deal. While KO looked good for 3 games, I don't know if that's enough to warrant a upper market LT deal.

That said, IF KO got the exact deal that Monroe got, the 1st year Cap number would be $3.2M. If Monroe is released, the Cap savings is $2.1M, which would go a long way toward covering the $3.2M Cap # for KO.

Just to think we'd even consider giving KO LT money is silly. Like you said, its 3 games!

KO has done well @guard. The best in the market? Definitely not. But he has upsides to be versatile to *maybe* handle LT on emergency. That is all we should look at it as...face value.

Didn't Hurst perform well on his first 3games replacing Monroe last year? When Urshel stepped in for KO oft-injured legs as LG?

Don't throw money on blind hope. You pay fat bucks on sure things.

Yea you made some good points. Hopefully flaccos contract gets reworked sooner rather than later because your right a 48 year old could do that offence, and one without a 28 million cap number. I also really like ramsey and think hed contribute from day one. He has elite physical tools and has shown he can use them in tape, but then again what top 6 pick hasn't.
