I'd love Joe Thomas here but I would be surprised if the Browns traded him to us. That seems almost too unrealistic for even me to consider, and I like to consider myself pretty open-minded. Maybe it could happen as part of some 3-team trade, which I can't think of the last time that's ever happened. I recall it happening once, but I can't remember the details of it. I could be wrong, maybe it never happened. My memory is weird sometimes.

Anyway, I'd love Joe Thomas. He's a top-5 LT and arguably the best in the business.

I could see him going to a side like the Colts or Seahawks. They seem pretty willing to fling trades around like that and could both use a franchise LT.

Ohio State WR Mike Thomas declaring for '16 draft. This is now 8 Buckeyes, likely to rise to 9 if Vonn Bell declares as well, which is expected:

WR Jalin Marshall

WR Michael Thomas

DE Joey Bosa

LB Darron Lee

DB Tyvis Powell

RB Ezekiel Elliott

QB Cardale Jones

CB Eli Apple

Safety Vonn Bell

Also, Jalen Ramsey has made it official:

What about KO? In theory, if we signed him to a deal... What do you think the structure would look like over the course of it?

Probably similar to Monroe's, maybe a little more money.

Probably a $4-5M cap hit in year 1, escalating to the $7-8M range over the rest of the deal.

So it's not out of the question entirely. But almost entirely rides on Joe getting an extension and other moves being made. Or, just signing KO and pretty much no one else.

If we retain KO, I think it'll be for roughly 7-8/year. Yanda got roughly the same. I can also see a scenario where it's a little less but it has escalators built in the deal where he gets incentives if he plays LT, x amount of snaps at LT, etc.

A few months ago, I thought there was no shot.

Now, if they think KO can be the future LT, its gaining in possibility on me. Still think its a 50/50 shot, but that's higher than I thought a month or two ago.

Its feasible under the cap. Would require us to cut Monroe and probably some other veterans, but its feasible. Joe's extension alone could pave the way, but timing is key there.

I'd like to see it happen for continuity purposes. There's a question of health with KO too, though. It would certainly be nice to have his versatility, and allow Jensen to step up as well. That could leave Urschel as depth, but I guess they'll have to battle it out in TC. Not a bad problem to have.

I just don't see them cutting Monroe and giving a bigger contract to KO to play LT.

Some team will pay KO what the Ravens can't afford.

Here's my problem exactly.  I agree with much of the above about problems trading within the division and everything with Thomas, but on the Osemele page I just worry about Osemele's injury history.  In the last 3 years he has played 35 of a possible 48 regular season games, and although he has played 14/16 each of the last 2 years and you can't expect every player to play every game.  I also feel like he has had nagging injuries throughout those seasons as well.  I certainly see the problem of the Ravens maybe not being able to go the draft route depending on where the board falls.  I think Osemele is good but if the Ravens resign him just a lot of questions result like what happens with Monroe and can Osemele stay healthy.

Anyone else read the comments on Monroe and his response to the question on him returning and potentially getting cut? He didn't talk about how he wanted to stay. I thought it was interesting, especially with the context of the question in place.

I hope they are working the deal with someone.

According to this we have $7,903,687 in cap space, that can't be right, can it?

The Cap is supposed to go up 10 million next year to 153 million next year.  We have 146 million in current contracts.  So I don't get how they come up with 7.9 million.  The Cap has not been set.  Also as we will be drafting higher are draft picks will get more money.

Tough to say at this point. I would think at least $5-6M a year, but that might be on the low side.

That was my low-ball guess.  I would be willing to bet money he goes to the Raiders, gets paid nicely to replace Woodson and a chance to play the chargers twice a year

He seems to be catching a lot of attention lately and depending on how he does at the combine, he could blow people away even more.  I need to watch him, havent had the chance yet.

His stock will surely rise as the draft gets closer. A lot of initial hype was for Hargreaves III and Ramsey, but Hargreaves III finished poorly against Michigan. I think Ramsey is pretty awesome, but Alexander has somewhat flown under the radar in the way Revis and Asomugha did - passes simply are not completed when the ball is thrown that way.

Anywho, Alexander will be fascinating to watch in the National Championship Game.

Would kind of suck if we resigned KO and then Tunsil ends up falling right into our lap. I mean it would be awesome to have both of them but if we were to get Tunsil we could use all that KO money elsewhere.

Yeah, that Ridley is a beast!!!! I keep forgetting he's a true freshman, so he's only going to get better. It's crazy they go from Julio to Cooper to Ridley and never miss a beat.

Ah, freshman. I misread the initial post. I am intrigued to see the match up, as Alexander has been a blanket all year thus far.

You don't think it's feasible at that number?

Spotrac used $154M for their projection.
