Interesting situation for sure. I had always thought he was a goner, but the organization seems to have a really strong liking for him. Harbaugh got really passionate talking about him and the struggles he had been through just to get back on the field in a presser a few weeks ago.

yeah webb will be the teams FS next season. That's probably the only choice he had if he wanted to stay a raven- bc othe wise I think he may have been cut. Hence why the change of heart- a month or so ago he was saying he doesn't see himself as a safety and that it wasn't permanent , or something along those lines.

Word on the street is that Miami may move on from Tannehil, It would be a miracle if Miami and Cleveland takes a QB.

wow I haven't heard that. I did hear that he didn't have a lot of love within the locker room though and a lot of the players didn't like him- so that makes sense. Would be crazy to part ways with him right after giving him the big contract but hey

I know people aren't high on Lewis, I my self am not a fan of him but I don't think its in our best interest to cut him right now. There is nothing we can gain from it. We won't have the money to add a veteran FA free safety so it looks like Webb will be our guy there. I think after we fill in the spots at FS, then you cut Lewis. Otherwise cutting right now with no moves at FS would just be a waste considering how cheap his cap hit is.

true- if anything huge could be good depth. As long as we don't go into next season with him as the starter.

Nevermind, its from Jason Cole so its obviously a lie.

SF and Cleveland are possible teams to take a QB. Are there even 2 QB's worth taking that high?

Maybe Lynch or Goff, but it doesn't matter if they're "worth it" - remember in recent years Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder, EJ Manuel have been taken early.

Oz, Crass, Biscotti, and Harbaugh will address the media on Thursday. Should make things interesting.

The season ending presser, which is always very candid and forthright.  They typically give a lot of honesty, so I'm looking forward to it.

Kamar finished the year with 75 catches for 944 yards. He has surpassed my expectations. Set a the Ravens record with his ninth straight game of five or more catches as well. He absolutely should be given the opportunity to compete for the starting job.

I'm curious to hear what they have to say. I'm certain Biscotti is heavily disappointed with how things have turned out and I anticipate him and Oz will have plenty to say about team needs. We finished 5-11, when we finished 8-8 they sounded really disappointed. I wonder what they're going to say right now.

Would be very interesting if VHIII is on the board for us.

The way he's been playing the past two weeks he can stay on the board for all I care. Talk about choking.

Webb played exclusively at FS today in base sets and only played slot CB in nickel situations.  After the game, he told someone in the media that he looks at himself as a FS going forward.  I'm curious to see whether that will be here or not, though.

Yeah and we saw how that worked, too slow no impact. Hes here next year regardless but I dont want him at FS.

Are you kidding me? Webb at safety has been the glue keeping our secondary together.

Really? Cmon man. Yeah the Bengals didnt do squat on 3rd down, a nice change, but gouged the d with McCarron every other down. Ill admit, hes better than Lewis, but no way do I want him oir starting FS next year.

Miami is moving on from Tannehil. Dunno bout him not being liked around the clubhouse but I know the he vets he plays with say he is just terrible. He hasn't shown any real strides although he is surrounded with weapons. Miami will replace Tannehil if there is a QB management likes. Fo is very unhappy with the offensive production and consistency. Odds are Tannehil is a backup next year.

After seeing him let Eifert jog right past him I don't know what to do with Webb.

Eifert might be the second best tight end in the league, so, not really sure one play defines his play at safety...

If they feel that they should do it, hey, no complaints here. Would be great to see three QBs go ahead of our picks. That would make me a happy man.

There is not cap space to fix every position on Defense. I agree Webb isn't the answer at Safety. Prefer taking chances with a rookie free safety. A big tackling cover2 cornerback and play him at free safety. If ravens acquire a playmaker receiver in the draft and Maxx continues his strides then the offense could carry the the defense for a while. The offensive line is dominant. The ravens need just need YOUNG playmakers. NOT castaways and hope there is something in the tank like Garcon or vjax. Today's game is evidence the ravens need young playmakers.

We must honestly make an effort to build our team now to beat the Bengals. We built a team to beat the Steelers but the Bengals are now our greatest challenge in the North.

Watch the play over. He didn't even try.

I think you're right!

Its important.........can't stress how much.  You have to pick well...but theres no substitute for picking early............6 of 32.......I hope!!!!

Now we can build.  Last time we picked this high we got Ngata

Webb making the switch to FS is going to be huge for us, imo. Sure he struggled a bit since he started the switch but thats a big transition at the end of a season. Now he has time to get his mind right because he's committed to it, and has time to physically prepare for it (i.e. gaining some weight).

Eifert would score over him regardless if it's a jump ball, but yes, he did the wrong thing and misread the offense

People are underestimating how good the defense got the second half of the season when they moved Webb into that FS/NC slot and put Wright opposite Smith on the outside.   That secondary shut down two elite receivers the last couple weeks and held up nicely against some others.    So maybe that 1st round pick can go toward a receiver or pass rusher.

As for Joe, of course he is going to restructure.  Everyone in the world knows this is happening.  He's not going to hold the team hostage and no reasonable person thinks that is his mentality.   Plus IIRC doesn't Rice and Ngata's contracts come off the books this offseason?    We should be able to do something without the ridiculous prospect of cutting Justin Tucker or KO which I have read.

Let's see what the state of the team is in a couple weeks before we go over the ledge that we're in a cap purge situation.
