The only thing that scares me about Tunsil is his injury history. Where's the sense in replacing one injury prone plate with another?

I just want a beast, if Ozzie thinks Bosa's the real deal I won't be mad, I just think he(Bosa) has putrid awareness but if it's one thing we can draft it's pass rushers.

He looks slow on tape for NFL standards . I'm glad he's off the board .

I wanted Culliver the last time he was a FA, underrated player. Look we didn't draft a CB high, Culliver can play on the outside and I think he's better than Shareece Wright... I really hope we go after him. Wouldn't count against comp picks, discounted rate from the beginning of FA, good opportunity for us to improve the secondary.

I don't think we sign him. I don't think he'll want to sign here because competition will be tight. We just extended Wright. I wouldn't sign here if I was him because the chances I start are less. He's playing for another contract.

Yeah I don't see it happening either, just doesn't feel like typical Ravens signing because Culliver has had some character/locker room concerns. I'm just not confident in our corner group. Jimmy hasn't proven he can stay healthy, Wright is very up and down, Arrington has struggled, I think we're being overly optimistic there in the front office. It seems like every year there is a position that the fans clearly see as not up to scratch and volatile that the front office get's blinded by their optimism with.

Even ILB is worrying me already, we struggled covering TE's big time last year, I don't want to hear that Orr is starting material, he's good depth but that's not acceptable to be relying on him as a 3 down ILB next to CJ. Obviously you can't address everything in the draft, our offense is looking great and the pass rush got a big upgrade as well. I just hope we're aggressive shoring up CB/ILB with cap casualties like Culliver and possibly even trading for an ILB.

If I recall correctly I remember before the draft that we mentioned converting a safety to LB. I imagine that's still in the works. If I had to guess, maybe it's Kendrick Lewis? It would certainly make the most sense of all the safeties. I can't see Elam bulking up to play LB, nor do I think Brooks would be that guy. Could be Nick Perry, too.

I think Brooks could bulk up. He had some good coverage plays near the line last year

I suppose but we'll see. I like him better as a safety if he can actually develop the instincts to play the position and to generate turnovers.

Brooks is too undersized to convert, only 5'11 195 lbs to start with I just don't see him having the sheer size to handle the dirty work at ILB. If any of them could do it I think it's Kendrick Lewis, he's not all that much bigger than Brooks but he's longer and I think his frame could support another 15 lbs or so of muscle. To be honest bulking up his lower body would be more important than his upper body, needs the lower body mass/strength to anchor him self against bigger guys.

I still see us adding a quality ILB.. maybe even Arthur Brown finally clicks, we shall see

No... We have 3 good veterans on the defense already. He'd be cheap but could he still play is the real question? I'd rather go get Whitner

I was thinking at least bring him in for tryouts. He might surprise us after getting over a couple of injuries over this last past year.

Il keep it short and simple. Cris Culliver is out there and we have the money to spend! Can we pleeeeease add a cherry to this offseason cake?!!

Should we acquired Safety Antrel Rolle for the Veteran minimum?

I was really confused reading this.  I took 'acquired' as in we already signed him...

Why? We already have 83.5 safeties on the roster.

I recon the half of a safety might have to go on I.R.

Culliver was awful last year in coverage and not much better in run support.

Yet he could still compete to be our #2 corner, what does that tell you

How can you make that claim when the guy literally played 6 games and was injured for the remainder of the season? If anything, blast his injury proneness but the talent is obviously there. 4.40 speed doesn't grow on trees :)

He had 4 really good years prior to last year. I think he would compete for the number 2 corner on most NFL teams when healthy. If we have J.Smith and W.Davis, S.Wright, and Culliver fighting for 2 and 3 then we are set in the secondary.

True, it could have been just because the of the change of teams and only playing 6 games. I'm only basing it on the games he did play with the skins.

Question - with the Redskins drafting Josh Doctson in the 1st round, there's at least a decent chance they cut one of their 2 expensive receivers, and most likely Pierre Garcon.

We already have a crowded group of WR's with SSS, Perriman, Wallace, Aiken and the rest, but theres not much to really count on going forward with SSS coming back from injury and this likely his last year, Perriman coming off injury and having never played, Wallace having been in a decline, and Aiken quite honestly our most reliable piece right now.

With that in mind, and our decent amount of cap space right now, would you think about picking up Garcon to give us more of a sure thing for this year, and a reliable, high volume catch, chain mover to replace SSS going forward?

In 2014, he was very good in coverage allowing just 37 completions on 73 targets (about 50%), and allowed an opponent QB rating of just 65 when targeted. Plus, last year he was injured most of the season so its not a great sample size.

He's big, long, athletic and has some ball skills. Depending on the price I'd definitely take a look at him. Can't hurt to have some more depth, though I really like Wright to pick up where he left off last year.

I really value the relationship he and Jimmy have together - the fact they grew up together and have this swagger about wanting to shut down receivers together. Its an intangible type thing, but not many best friends get to go to the NFL and play the same position on the same team. And Wright was probably our most improved player by the end of the year.

He really only had one terrible game, and that was his 1st game against his former team.... so definitely an anomaly.

Culliver is a similar upside type guy... hes been up and down so far, but I think with Frazier here hes going to get the most out of these guys, so its a good time imo to bring in young, athletic, high upside guys on the cheap.

This was my prediction a long time ago, I thought it was either Garcon or Vjax, But I think it would make sense for the Redskins to keep Garcon one more year, give Doctson a vet to learn from with similar skill set.

But looking towards the future post SSr days, Wallace, BP, Aiken...we will need some talent added for sure.  I wonder what next years FA class of WRs will look like and possible cuts.

Next year is interesting at the WR position

  • Alshon
  • Vjax
  • Desean
  • Garcon
  • Larry Fitz
  • Emmanuel Sanders
  • Doug Baldwin
  • Cordarrelle Patterson
  • Keenan Allen
  • Markus Wheaton
  • Ted Ginn jr.
  • Terrance Williams

Theres a lot more including our own SSS, Aiken, Marlon Brown and Jeremy Ross.... But given that landscape I'd say Alshon, Fitz, Baldwin, and Keenan Allen end up back with their own teams 100%.

Emmanuel Sanders is my favorite name on this list of those that could likely be available, bc we need a volume catcher that can move the chains... and he just so happens to have speed to get deep as well. Unfortunately, dude is probably going to get PAID, but I know that the Ravens really like him.

Wheaton will prob be on the market since the Steelers pluck Wheatons out of the 4th round of every draft. But i dont like his game much.

Patterson, Ginn, Williams and Vjax dont really do anything for me at this point... Vjax i might consider as the guy to kind of lead our WR group, but only if Perriman really steps up.

Garcon is imo the perfect blend of quality, age, cost, skill set, and likelihood. Whether hes cut this offseason, hits the market next offseason, or maybe even send them a 6th right now to bring him in. But i think he'd be a great bridge to the gap left by SSS retirement.

My best friend is a Titans fan and I loved watching Verner play, I would love to have him here

Patterson I think could be a KR specialist who I think we really need, he even reminds me of Jacoby
