Expect little movement in Free agency. This team's in cap hell. The drafts the only thing to look forward to but the lack of talent in this one is a bummer.

Lots of stuff to fix this offseason.  Looking forward to having a high draft pick and having the opportunity at an elite talent for the first time in a long time.

I have to agree to that, we'll be playing with house money. This upcoming draft will be huge for us.

So are we set at #7, or does the SF/SD gamed affect anything?

We can move up a 1-2 spots if either or both win.

I'm expecting the team to re-sign KO, Tucker, Cox, Trawick to multiple year deals, maybe even Brandon Williams. I expect Aiken gets a second round tender and plays out the year on it. We'll cut some guys like Canty and others to afford these deals. Flacco restructures or rather extends his deal. We'll likely re-sign Wright and probably add a CB, maybe even make a run for Weddle. Not sure we'll get him.

I'm sure we'll add a free agent CB.

Pretty much how I see it.  I think Upshaw could stay on a very cheap deal, but otherwise, those are the guys I'd reasonably see back here.  I don't see many outside FAs this year.  Maybe a vet WR, some OL depth, and a CB but I don't seem much else.

Upshaw needs to go!! He is terrible. No respectable team puts him in their uniform. He is useless!! Is there any way the ravens can take Monroe to court??

Is 7 final?...........If the 49ers win we move up to 6 right?....They beat us head to head.

Titans, Browns, Chargers, Cowboys, Jaguars pick before us.

7 is not bad.  I'd hoped for a top 5 pick though.

Now there is always talent in the NFL draft.  It's up to our evaluators to evaluate it and if they don't score mega large this year at this draft position. We are done for some time.

That Steeler win really hurt. We could be 4-12 win a chance at the #3 position.

Yeah the Players Union signed a new deal....players don't have to be paid at all if they are hurt. They even have to give back some of that seasons money earned before they were injured!

Cut all the obvious and consider trading Dumervil so his new team picks up his salary. The obvious arrington,Canty,Daryl Smith,Lewis,Monroe, Forsett,Elam,Pitta retire, Webb(he looks slow out there) and Joe takes a little paycut and moves some money. I know how the cap works but I do not know much about players contracts. Could Joe taking a paycut and getting an extension on his money create as much as $8mil?? Then another 10$mil in player cuts and an increase in the salary cap could leave the ravens with $20mil or a little more??

He is a free agent. Let's not bring the loser back?? Sure there are some homers out there that thinks he is valuable.

You could also look at it this way - we're not taking a QB, and if 1 or 2 QBs go in the top 5, that means a player rated top 5 on our board could still be there for us at 7.

overthecap.com is a good site to learn about all that and see how much each player will cost to cut. I don't expect we trade doom, he still showed good pass rush skills on a team with zero pass rush

Webb played exclusively at FS today in base sets and only played slot CB in nickel situations.  After the game, he told someone in the media that he looks at himself as a FS going forward.  I'm curious to see whether that will be here or not, though.

SF and Cleveland are possible teams to take a QB. Are there even 2 QB's worth taking that high?

Interesting stuff right there. Good post.

Maybe that's what the doctor ordered?

the browns win hurt even worse. Still enjoyed it though. I believe we could potentially end up at 5 by days end but it's a long shot. Anyway 7 is still perfect range for vh3, Ramsey or stanley.

Woukd be nice to make a run at weddle. Upshaw will walk. K.O is iffy but he Will either walk or be traded. Kendrick will likely be released. We will likely sign a receiver like garcon- don't expect anybody like Jeffrey, esp with sss returning. Maybe somebody like golden tate. But yeah a lot is riding on this draft. Believe it or not we don't have that many holes and we have a good foundation going forward. A pass rusher and some ball hawks or needed. Along with speed. Other than that really we just need to get healthy. A scheme change could do us well and we definitely need to be more disciplined.

Interesting situation for sure.  I had always thought he was a goner, but the organization seems to have a really strong liking for him.  Harbaugh got really passionate talking about him and the struggles he had been through just to get back on the field in a presser a few weeks ago.

We should have gained a spot in the draft with the Dolphins beating the Pats. I think we moved from 8 to 7, but I am not a 100% on that. Not sure if we can move any more depending on these late games or not.

I've never been a fan of Monroe.  Didn't think we should have acquired him. McKinnie was just as good. Would have endorsed the Tackle Arizona got, but we traded average for average.  Lost track of Monroes contract status, if he is a Free Agent...good riddance.

Upshaw has been ho hum at best.  I don't think the NFL will be beating down the door to get to him. He's steady mediocre. If there's no significant offers we should keep him.  He was another bad pick, but that's not his fault.

I wouldn't be surprised if they both took lynch and Goff or vice versa. Normally they probably wouldn't be worth it that high but both teams are desperate and there isn't much other talent in this draft.

I know people aren't high on Lewis, I my self am not a fan of him but I don't think its in our best interest to cut him right now. There is nothing we can gain from it. We won't have the money to add a veteran FA free safety so it looks like Webb will be our guy there. I think after we fill in the spots at FS, then you cut Lewis. Otherwise cutting right now with no moves at FS would just be a waste considering how cheap his cap hit is.

Word on the street is that Miami may move on from Tannehil, It would be a miracle if Miami and Cleveland takes a QB.
