Week 17 Discussion (Other NFL Teams)

Tunsil or Stanley in the first, and Voltz in the 2nd. That would be my guess.

That makes sense, they need to both protect Rivers and open some holes for their first rounder from last year. I'd be surprised if they took Stanley over Tunsil, since the latter fits their philosophy of big blockers with a mean streak.

A few weeks ago I promised to change my avatar to a picture of Barbie for a week if Tunsil's available and they pass on him (unless something crazy happens like he gets charged for murder), and even though the draft is a long way away I haven't seen any reason they'd take anyone else.

LA Chargers hit the front. :D

Hopefully Peyton starts in full-on playoff mode.

What kinda system does Pettine run? 3-4 or 4-3? What are his philosophies of note?

I think the Titans will go with Tunsil with the #1 pick and Cleveland will go Bosa with the #2, so it will be either Stanley or Conklin for the Chargers if they want an OT, although Ozzie may take one off the board if the Chargers win this game.

Believe a 3-4 and a former Ravens and Rex Ryan guy. Did well in Buffalo as DC although not so well in Cleveland with the defense

Very odd though...Anderson fumbles and OSWEILER sits?

But the offense needs a spark.

I'm guessing the Broncos have been preparing for Manning to come in for a few weeks now. Try to catch an opponent flat-footed before they can prepare for him.

This is crazy that the Broncos are struggling like this ... I mean, the #1 seed is there for the taking. They sure don't look like a #1 seed. If they lose, they'll likely drop to #5.

Actually, I don't think there is any team that looks like a #1 seed in the entire AFC.

So he's an aggressive guy who's used to a hybrid front? Not sure how I feel about the former, with Trestman airing it out a lot I'd almost prefer a more conservative guy.

Agreed.

My team to look out for is still the Chiefs. But ultimately, the AFC right now is still NE's to lose.

We'll see. Brady's been slipping out of form a bit so we'll see if he bounces back or goes full Rodgers.

The Pats are slipping but I still don't trust any of these teams to beat NE in NE if they have to.

Shame we couldn't get THESE Patriots last year. Would've been a wash.

49ers go for it on 4th and 4 but the pass is broken up. Rams still lead 16-13 with 12:30 or so left in the 4th.

Lengthy drive from the 49ers ends in a horrendous pitch to Harris near the goalline. Fortunately it was just a really silly loss. FG ties it up at 16-16 with 4:20 left in the 4th. The Rams haven't offered a lot offensively since late in the first half (now watch them take three minutes to score a TD).

What kind of breakdown of coverage in Denver? WIDE OPEN touchdown for SD.

Hopefully that sets the stage for a Patented Playoff Peyton Pick.
