Steve Smith announces return

89 posts in this topic

So,I guess we are all set at wideout. Nothing to fix or adress in the off season as it regards the receiving Corp.

Sadly, this may end up true.  I wouldn't be surprised to see them go into 2016 with the same WR corp as 2015 minus the fact the projected top 2, and like 3 others, are coming off season ending injuries.  Let's hope they all heal and stay healthy.

On another note, if the front office does stick with the current WRs, hopefully they add some freaking pass rushers

We still need to add a WR in the draft. Steve will likely retire after next season and he might burn out midseason like he did in 2014; plus at his age I don't think he can handle a #1 WR workload, we need to divide the snaps between him and another WR to keep Steve healthy and fresh. Plus the other WR would be ready to take over once Steve leaves.

Big for Flacco coming back.  Hopefully Permian is there and they add another, slightly younger, proven vet.

This thread should be merged with the other one that already exists on Steve Smith's return, IMO.

no because on mobile I have to wade through 3 pages before I can get to receNT posts.

Yeah it's great news. If Perriman does something and we draft a WR in the first four rounds and Aiken returns this should be a fairly good WR group. Not great but good. Maybe sign a free agent for cheap

I still don't see why mobile users can't choose their page. I feel like this has been a complaint for years that remains unaddressed

Would normally agree, but since this is big breaking news, we'll just go forward with this one (this time).

Not sure if it's really necessary if the plan is to re-sign Aikens. Perriman not playing this season shouldn't stray The Ravens from having high expectation for him .The other young receivers have played well as well. I think The Ravens should save their money and just draft a receiver

While I like having him back, I hope the Ravens don't continue to rely on SSS as their top receiver. We need for Perriman to take over as the top guy, for Aiken to keep playing at his best, and/or for a draft pick to come in and do well.

Hear me out,

I was on the trade back and draft treadwell in the first or  boyd maybe doctson in the second. either or I am ok

1.SSS 2.Aiken , 3 Perriman 4.givens,butler and brown not to mention campanaro, then 3 good on their way to being very good TE

we have height, speed, possession, heart, need a little attitude somebody with some fight in them, SSS will be done about mid season (player coach), I think we are good, I am all in for  OT, DEFENSE

I have always said we have a good team,,

This is great news but I'll be disappointed if we don't add another veteran WR or a second or third day draft pick.

I doubt we don't do either. Steve Smith Sr. is a guy who plays with fire but its tough to comeback from an achillies injury at 37, your body begins to feel old. I think we add a WR early in the draft, or just sign one.

Awesome news. I've always liked him, but since coming to Baltimore, he's because one of my all time favorite players.

Had my reservations when he first came here but, man, he's been an excellent teammate and performer for us. He's part of the team's DNA now. He's a Raven, for sure.

This could be a bad thing in a way, now that hes comming back, maybe the FO ignores the WR and tries to move on with what we have already which to me is not a good thing by any means.

Dont get me wrong....im ecstatic
