I'm still hoping the Ravens trade down for Lawson or Dodd. Both would have an instant impact and be great edge rushers in the Ravens' hybrid defense, and a trade down to the teens could net us a future 1st round pick.

Why not trade down for Spence then? He is superior pass rusher to both of these guys.

actually not. I think Dodd is the far better. Better techniques, better first step.

Dodd is a guy you can play outside against the run and inside in 5tech in passing situations.

Spence is a speed rusher 1 pony trick. He's good but his first step isn,t excellent and he's kinda soft against the run I would play him only on passing situations outside.

I'm not as big on Spence as some others. I think Lawson can do more since he's a really good passrusher and can hold up against the run. And Dodd has a higher ceiling. I'd have Spence as the fourth or fifth best edge rusher in the draft.

I'd have to disagree here. Dodd may be the best pass rusher in the class. He definitely has a higher ceiling than both of them and his floor is a  highly effective 3 down starter

Where does Shaq Lawson make your guys list?  Im curious on some of your guys top 5 rushers...

For me I guess it'd go:
Bosa
Lawson
Dodd
Spence
Floyd
Correa

In terms of pure edge rushing my list goes

Dodd

Spence

Bosa

Lawson

Floyd

In terms of 3 down edge defender

Bosa

Lawson

Dodd

Floyd(who I think will be excellent in coverage)

Spence(who I think can eventually hold up enough against the run to be effective as a full time starter)

Dodd gets bashed for various reasons but there are few rushers on the planet with his flexibility and length, he's going to be scary once he does one or two offseasons strength programs.

Per Zeirlein:

Don't be shocked if Ogbah slides all the way into the third round. Three teams have confirmed that possibility to me.

He probably should 'slide' there. He isn't that good. I like things about him but there are plenty of things that make you go "huh?"

Dodd is a very good prospect. Could easily be the best pass rusher in this class. I like him a lot. I would be thrilled if we traded back and took him.

Yep. There are times when Ogbah is on, but it's overshadowed by the immense amount of pure bad play.  There's definitely something to work with there athletically but obviously there's no telling if you can ever bring out his full potential.

In the rare plays that Ogbah cranks it up he's incredible, then he coasts for the rest of the game.

Finally some reports that we can agree on. I don,t understand all the analyst who have Ogbah in the 1st round or even early 2nd.

Not gonna buy that one as I think someone falls in love with the athleticism but I don't really care for him at all.

3rd round is even too high. Mid 4th as a project flier is where he belongs. If he goes before calhoun, correa, and fackrell I will laugh at whatever team made that move.

Wanna laugh? The guy in charge of the Cowboys in our home made Draft traded up in the first with the Cards to get him.

Most draft outlets and analysts have him as the 5th pass rusher and a lot have him going in the first

Seems like some have soured on Spence a little. I haven't.

Me neither. I don't see a reason to. The guy will bring far more speed and explosion to our edge rush than anyone else. I still prefer dodd by a mile because I think in the long run he ends up the best defender in this class after jack but I still like spence for us

I know, but trading up for him? Really?

You must not like Dodd very much then if you would pass in him for thousands of picks ;)

Congrats though

He could(dodd). Spence doesn't get enough credit for how smart he is and people seldom talk about his upside. I think the ravens are into him and would not be surprised if he is the target in a trade back scenario.

If we took dodd at 6 I wouldn't bat an eye. Unless we passed on tunsil for him.

Thats very intersting, i know you watch way more college football than me, since i dont watch any, so i take your opinions on college players seriously.  Ive watched some highlights on him, would you say hes like Spence?

He's very different. He's more of a bosa in terms of natural positioning and play style. Difference being that dodd is far more explosive and agile but isn't nearly as refined. Based on physical tools alone I think he's a stud at the next level, but if he gets his hand usage to bosas level then is a perennial first team all pro. He's just got a lot of work to do on his hand usage and his stock is low because he had just broken out this year.

So best case scenario we trade back and take him...where do you think he goes? Giants? Bears?

Hard to put a finger on it because he lacks the media hype and we haven't heard much as far as front offices go. Tunsil is my guy, If Ramsey is there I would probably take him, but if there's a major haul for a trade back to the bills or jets and we believe we can get dodd, then I'd likely pass on Ramsey for that.

I think when it's said and done he ends up either with the bears, bucs, or he slides to the bills or jets. But he's top 10 on my board.

I hear ya.  I have no idea what to think about Jack now, the reports worry me and i know its only April.  But Tunsil would be great

I wouldn't bat an eye for picking Dodd at 6. I mean look how raw Brandon Williams was coming out of a small college and in year 2 he took huge leaps. Our defensive line coaches are known to make solid and good players great. High ceiling.
