[News] What You Missed vs. Steelers

I really hope KO stays in Baltimore

Not sure why someone negged you for saying this. Hoping he signs doesn't mean we don't know that he's priced out of our range.

Us starting him at LT is 1, a matter of necessity given Munroe's injury, and 2 - to help him earn the highest payday in Free Agency.

Win-Win for everyone.

The only thing I missed, was being there in person to watch the Squeeler fans cry into their crying towels. Must have been a priceless sight, live.

commented about this in another story but imagine if Flacco had KO and Jensen on his left. Maybe he wouldn't have been running backwards trying to avoid the people Hurst let run through him. I think if we can lock down KO at left tackle and use either Urschel of Jensen at guard, Joe will be a lot more procuctive.

I don't know maybe it was an accident and I would just hate to see such a talent leave us. Especially if he signs with a rival or contender, but he does deserve a big payday.

You missed a squeelers get together/party at a sports bar in Cleveland Ohio squeelers from Cleveland and squeelers from squeeltown trying to throw it up and got slayed! The environment was poppin and so was I! RYAN MALLET FOR PRESIDENT! The Defense fed off it and stood tall! LETS GO!

KO is dominant and continuously puts Harrison on his back. I pray we keep him. As Matt Burke said during his rookie year. His physicality and violent blocking make him a force to be reckoned with. Ozzie you cannot let him go!

Let's see Mallet go against the 20th pass defense instead of 30th

You do have a good point there.  But, still, let's look at what Mallet showed us.  1 - ability to look off defensive backs  2 - judgment on where not to throw the ball  3 - a quick release resembling that of Aaron Rodgers  4 - zip on the ball resembling that of Joe F  and finally 5 - most of the time pinpoint accuracy resembling I don't know who.  If Mallet has a good game next week against the Bengals and Joe's recovery is delayed into next season I predict a QB controversy here in Ravens-land for the first time in many years.  Go ahead and neg me.  I like Joe too for many reasons beyond his cannon arm but Mallet did show me something this game.

I just can't figure out where he's been these past five or so years.  Why hasn't someone tried to develop this talent?

Mallet's head was not right and he admitted as much. The Ravens brought him in he got help and we all witnessed his gratitude to the organization by Playing Like A Raven. He also helped the entire offense Play Like Ravens. Very happy for the young man.

I would guess Mallet's lack of development is more about him than coaching.

Rodger's quick release, Joe's arm, Brady's pocket presence, Warner's accuracy, and a Manning-like command of the offense. Is that really what we saw last Sunday? Oy.

Along with everything else Mallet brings to the table, his leadership is something the Ravens have sorely missed. The guy's been here what... 2 weeks, and did you see the way players were rallying around him during and after the game?

People keep telling me; "It's only one game." Yes, I know, but a leader is a leader on day 1 & Mallet I predict, will cause plenty of consternation in Ravens city, as folks line up on two sides of the QB fence. We were 5 for 5 in third down conversions in the first quarter... what? And Mallet checked off a couple of plays sent in from the OC to get us there.

I wish there was an extreme like or something of that nature on this site. I loved the leadership qualities I saw from Mallett and the ability to anticipate routes and defensive positions. On some plays you saw him look defenders off the throwing lanes and then go through progressions and get back to his target. It was a thing of beauty and if it continues this Sunday and into next season there will be no doubt about a potential changing of the guard at QB.
