Oj Briggance Petition

13 posts in this topic

This is something that I want to start with the ravens. I think everyone on this forum should "sign" this "petition" to9 encourage our players to wear OJB patches just like the GU ones. From this we can draw the ultimate strength!!!!! :D :D :D

I would totally agree with you, but "signing" a "petition" on the board wouldn't really be official enough to get it done. Maybe if we could find a way to get it official, then it would work. but i would be all for the "OJB" patches.

The NFL has final say on the patches, and just for future reference, one of the least convincing ways to convince someone to do something is to say, "If you don't do this, you suck." Anyway, I'm sure the Ravens have already paid proper respects in many other ways than wearing a patch. Maybe a patch would be embarrassing for OJB? Maybe it would be silly in comparison to what has already been said and done... I'm willing to bet the players, coaches and other members of the organization have all that under control just fine. We don't need a petition to tell them how to honor their own.

I think the patches would be a bad idea.
OJB is very much alive and plans to stay that way. Wearing a patch represents death. I do not think OJB would feel good about the players wearing a patch. That is saying he is defeated. This is not the type of man OJB is. He is not defeated.
The players have all season been by his side and have devoted games to him. We all know is value to this orginization. There are other ways to honor him and his strength and his will but to do so in a way normally representing death is wrong to do.

Did not mean to make you feel that way. You had a great idea to honor him and this shows you are far from an an ****** OJB should be honored without question. I just personally felt the patch would be wrong. But your idea is right on target.

A very dear friend of mine died from ALS. I I admire OJ's courage and truly believe that he has been an inspiration for the Ravens this season. I wish him the best!

If it would help I would be for it. I remember watching OJ Bergance when he was with the Baltimore Stallions of the CFL. He was my favorite Stallion. I was happy when the Ravens picked him up. The man is an inspiration.
