Damn.. that's a monster grade for jensen at guard. Two straight games with really high grades. I know it's pff but still. If he plays great this sunday, we might have a new starter

Marlon Brown - Thanks for your rookie year contributions, but I think it's time for you to move on.  I wanted you to work out here, but I just don't think it's a good fit.  Wish you the best.

Jimmy Smith - I guess I don't understand the praise given to him in this article. His two PI calls directly contributed to the Steelers TDs.  Jimmy giveth and Jimmy taketh away.

Ryan Jensen - Great job!!

Don't think that you can say we lost draft spots. The seasons ain't over until it's over and to play for draft spots means to lose on purpose and that is not the Ravens way. I'm not sure that we wouldn't trade back anyway, even if we had the 3rd overall pick. About Marlon: I don't see him coming back. He did not show enough in my opinion. I also think we will get another WR this offseason so that leaves no spot for him on the team.

According to the article "The good news is, win, lose or draw, Baltimore is %u201Cessentially locked into%u201D a top-10 pick at 99.9 percent" A team/ organization establishes itself as a winner is more important than always getting high draft picks. So what if the Ravens pick 5th or 10th they will only be as successful as the judgment of their front office.

Where does that Jimmy Smith rave come from. The game I watched, he was beaten a lot more times than not and apparently PFF agress. S. Wight is rated much higher than Jimmy and that is what I saw as well. If Ozzie does his job well this off season J Smith will not be a starter next year unless he really elevates his play.

Raven fans should know by now we don't roll over to get a higher draft pick, Harbs coaches to win no matter what, that's what makes us so dangerous regardless of our record....And besides, picking 10th would be like winning the lottery...Seems we have been picking in the bottom 3rd of the first round for years.....We actually don't have to wait 4 hours to hear our pick, or trading out...ha ha ha.....

Ozzie hasn't drafted well in the last 4 or 5 years. He has blown so many high draft choices on inferior talent that our defense has crumbled. Whether he picks 3rd or 8th doesn't matter. Sadly Marlon Brown has never flourished. He should be cut. Aiken and Butler are better options. Jimmy Smith is an enigma. Sometimes he is great. Other times he is real bad. He was both once again against the Steelers. His penalties cost the Ravens dearly. People who write these articles should have the guts to tell the truth, not just rah rah the good points.

Funny thing is ths PFF rating chart...

BR.com: "Smith had his best game of the year"

Jimmy's PFF rating: -0.5.

RSR: "Player of the game: Kelechi Osemele"

KO's PFF rating: -0.7 (4th worst in the O)

John Meoli: "Terrance West had his best game as a Raven Sunday. John Harbaugh said he was "born to be a running back."

West's PFF rating: -1.8 (worst in the O)

Oh yeah! Sweeping the Steelers in a down season is as sweet as it gets. Even with that win, we seem to be locked into a top 10 pick which is solid. Don't be surprised if Ozzie trades back to number 20 and pick up two second rounders and 2 third rounders on top. oh and Jimmy has had a good season with no pass rush whatsoever. Remember QBs have all day to throw with Mr. Pees Schemes. Cheers!

Why people say Oz hasn't drafted well over the last 5 years isn't paying attention...First off when you make the playoffs over 6 of the last 8 years, you're not getting to pick high in any of the rounds...2nd off, Arthur Jones, McPhee, RR(he blew it), Smith are players we couldn't afford, yet he found un-drafted players and high draft picks to field playoff caliber teams....1 really bad year and people want to throw him under the bus....We just beat Pit with a lot of players we picked up from the throw away bin.....

Draft picks might last for a couple years. Knocking the Steelers out of the playoffs will be remembered forever.

...true.  But to be able to "stick a fork in da Squeelas and say they're done!," I think the Jets would have to lose.  Denver won last night and that's good, so that's one more nail in the coffin.  But to slam the door completely shut right in their collective "SqueelaNation faces" and put the last nail in the coffin, we all need to be cheering for a Jets victory over the Bills come Sunday!  Are you with me??!!

I think the Jets will still be riding high from their last victory over the Pats. But at the same time I don't think they'll overlook the Bills either.  I think they'll be pumped and ready to do battle come Sunday!

Look - we get it ... winning at this stage is a bit of a double-edged sword. We know the cost, but please ... this team (and no team of any value) is going to go out on that field and roll over - for anybody, let alone your in-division rival in a game where your opponent's season hopes are on the line.

Let's also not forget ... winning a hard fought, meaningful game like this has positive effects going forward. Finishing out this dismal season on a high note bodes well for this team going forward.

So guess what? I want see us beat the Bengals this weekend and cost them a 1st round bye - no matter the draft placement consequences. I'm sure the guys wearing purple are with me on that.

Another thing that doesn't get a ton of press, is we have lost almost as many quality coaches as players over the last 5 years....Teams are always going after our asst. coaches, and that comes from our success....If Pags gets fired in Indy and we can get him back i would consider that a 1st round draft pick....;)

It will be worth the loss of 5 spots in the draft if the Steelers don`t make the playoffs.

Absolutely. Glad the Broncos won last night, as that eliminates one other possibility for the Steelers.

Now, all they have left is to root for the Bills to beat the Jets. Man, that should be a good game. Rex's former team ... he'll have those troops motivated (and they will already be as motivated as we were to kill their in-division rivals chances of making the post-season).

I don't say this often, but ... GO JETS!

THIS^^^^

For those fans that want a high draft pick over a win, even a divisional one:  We have a good chance of beating the Bengals now too with McCarron injuring his throwing wrist and Keith Wenning at the helm.  That means that Cincy has to beat us, a top 5 rush defense, on the ground with a rookie QB that our team is very familiar with.

Yes the Bengals can still beat us with their defense.  But if not then the Ravens could drop out of the top 10 altogether.  Personally, I want the division win.  Ozzie will picj a great player at #3 or #13.

Wanting your team to lose for an untested product is loser speak.

Marlon is gone, period.

Matthews, Daniel, and Waller have all shown more potential an redzone targets than Brown, time to move on.

Being in the top 10 is still a win win. OZ will make the most of those picks and still have enough value to trade out.

The defense will definately come back reloaded next season. RB, TE and QB are locks, not to sure up O-line and WR. From there, rest of draft can be used to give depth to the defense. Smith#90 has really started to come on so when Suggs comes back, he should be a very good depth player on passing downs and may very well take Upshaws place....

I think Jimmy was injured all year, he was blanketing receivers last year and had the burst to get to the ball. This year however, he looked like he didn't have a second gear. I pray he gets healthy and we have a coordinator that allows him to put his hands of receivers at the line. Jimmy is and always has been a physical press corner, not a finesse cover guy that uses speed and athleticism to defense passes--maybe a little bit. I think 2016 will be his year and webby and wright also looked pretty good. It is all a team effort and that is what won us the game!

I know a lot of people want to cover for J.Smith, but like his first few years, he was fooled a lot by double moves, and some of his tackling angles were horrible....His game still needs a lot of work, considering he is our #1 CB.....

Don't get too down on Marlon. He had a great rookie year but then we changed coordinators and his role diminished. WE changed coordinators again but unfortunately for Marlon it was basically the same system. He was called on more for his blocking than his pass catching ability and he only was given short routes unlike his rookie year.

I think if we cut him he'll catch on with another team that will use him right and he will become a threat once again.

He is also a beast on special teams.

I guess, but that doesn't explain that when his number was called he dropped a lot of passes and also just had a hard time getting open. Couldn't shake the initial jam at the line.

the Ravens look pretty strong at WR headed into the offseason. Brown should not be overpaid as a restricted free agent by the Ravens.

I think a big battle in camp will be at RB, We wanted West but Cleveland moved up to get him, and now that we have him, and the way he has played, i think TF might be in danger....
