[News] Injury Updates On Marlon Brown, Eugene Monroe

Hmmmm...IDK... I am not questioning either injury.... I am questioning both players ability to overcome them? I hope they both come back and become very productive for this team but I don't like the odds for either one!

that John way of saying "hes cut"

I don't think he's saying "Marlon is cut/out." Afterall, he did say "Marlon was one of his favorite guys."  I don't think he'd let one of his favorite guys go, do you?

Injury update for Monroe? Don't even bother to suit up for week 17 buddy. I mean, why change your habits now?

He's been on IR for several weeks already.

Injuries have destroyed this team the last 2 years.

That may very well be a valid point, however many of these injuries are not related to training but more or less freak accidents. Many years those injuries have not caught up in the same way as the past couple. Still, compared to many other teams around the league the Ravens are still in a good position. This was a much needed year of growth and strengthening of resolve for the next few seasons.

Man, after all the injured players come back, and with the new guys that stepped (stepping) up, it's going to be difficult to thin the roster to 53 next year. Sadly, I don't see Marion Brown making it. If he went down after producing better, he would have had an even chance, but after declining.....springtime he better look like A.J. Greens older brother if he wants to make the (or any) team. Shame too, I had high hopes for him after his rookie season. GO RAVENS!

Neither of these guys should be on the team next year. Monroe flat out stinks and sadly, Marlon Brown has not lived up to expectations. Osemele, who is really a guard, plays rings around Monroe at LT. Butler and Aiken are miles better than Brown. It is time for the Ravens to start making good personnel decisions instead of drafting poorly and keeping players who do not perform. I don't care if you are a number one or a number 10, if you don't perform, you are out.

please move Monroe, we expected a LT so step in and be an instant contributor when Oher left n this guy just gets hurt way too often. Just isn't as durable as we hoped. cut the loss n move him. draft a rookie LT next year n let Castillo rebuild the line.

You Cant move Monroe People!!!!! Think with your head. Think about the Cap... do you want another year like this one with 20mil in dead money?? No. Dead money matters...it hurts future years.

The only way cutting Monroe works is a Post June 1st cut... after that hes only 2.2mil dead money, and you save 6.75 mil... but before that you save nothing and hes 6.6mil dead money.

I would ride with monroe one more year, because hes not horrible...though hes not JO and it lets you focus in the draft on more serious oriorities... Pass rush and WRs

What if we trade him?

Paying Monroe his base alone under circumstances similar to this season or the last two when he didn't suit up for seventeen games is no better than dead money. It's dead player walking if u will. The post June 1 cut suggestion is certainly doable if u can use the cap savings towards someone else. I can live with 2.2 million in dead because suggesting paying millions to Monroe is ludicrous.

If KO gets resigned, then Monroe will be traded....If he passes his physical, teams in need of a LT, which are always in demand will make a trade for him.....

Dam do I hope we keep KO!! If we keep him and Monroe(or let monroe walk) then this offense is going to be stellar!  I mean we have about 75 receivers and 15 RBs that are going to be coming back from injury.

I fully expect a healthy Monroe to be manning the LT position next year. I don't think we can expect to retain K.O from a realistic perspective especially since Jensen is coming on strong at LG. I think Jensen is a tough guy who is exceptional at run support and clearing lanes because of his nastiness! Either way, we'll be drafting a tackle somewhere in the first 3 rounds as a back up.

I actually think the opposite will end up happening. Monroe will be back hopefully fully healthy and K.O will price himself out of Baltimore's grips. So, I foresee a line consisting of Monroe, Jensen, Math Whiz, Yanda and Wagner!
