[News] Buck Allen Bounces Back After Benching

15 posts in this topic

Before the game I said that I really wanted to see him get 100+ all-purpose yards, a TD and no fumbles. He hit all 3! Nice job, Buck!

We saw a lot of guys finally show up to play yesterday. If that happens again against the Bengals then we should feel a lot better about this off season. Please just let Upshaw walk away though. Don't do the Jah Reid/Mount Cody experiment with him. He just needs to go.

His "benching" was baloney. There were so many mistakes made on the field over the last several weeks, that if everyone who screwed up was benched, only the cheerleaders would be playing. He didn't do better because he was benched. That is just media crap. The guy made a mistake. He fumbled the ball. You think he wasn't angry with himself? You think he needed benching. That is garbage. What about that idiot Upshaw, who lined up offsides, negating perhaps the Ravens most exciting play of the year? How come he was not "benched". That was worse than the fumble by Allen. When are we going to get some columnists with the guts to stand up to this baloney and tell the truth? Probably never.

This guy should be the starter going into next season, he is humble and wants to work. He and Forsett are similar but this guy is younger and will only get better. We will have to wait to see i West gets into trouble during the offseason, just like Mallet.

Well to be fair to jah he was going to make the roster he had a strong preseason... But I'm torn with Courtney I think we put him in bad positions he should never drop back in coverage and if he would put on a few pounds I believe I would like him to be a 3 or 5 technique but if we let him go I wouldn't mind really like court but I'm torn on him

I am loving what Allen is doing, especially as a dual-threat back. I love Forsett too and think he is great for at lease one more year, but I want some of my fellow Ravens to answer this question. If Fournette is available at the top of the second, should we get him as the other part of the 1-2 punch? He is big fast and explosive and Lorenzo seemingly can't stay healthy. I know we have a lot of needs, but I am curious to know what people are thinking?
