I wonder if that's how Snoop Dogg teaches his youth football teams...to just "lay down."

Harrison knew exactly what he was doing, trying to take Mallett out of the game. It was a shock and a threat to the Steelers to see Mallett come in there and command our offense with confidence and competence. Harrison was aiming for a knockout blow and the refs totally blew a legit call against him. Luckily, Mallett was ok but I have no doubt about Harrison's intent to injure Mallett.

Well this Sunday removed some of the pain of this season. Especially if the Jets and Broncos take care of business to keep Pitt out.

This is beating dead horse at this point, but if we could just say another word about how absolutely horrendous the refereeing has been this season. I was expecting some cursory mention of that neutral zone infraction by Upshaw in LFW and the theory that Harbaugh put out there of the center spinning and moving the ball up a bit prior to each snap will probably hold up. My gripe isn't with a bad call. I think it was a good call. I just think it was an incredibly incredibly late call.

Neutral Zone infractions are usually flagged impending the snap, and if not then, then right at the snap (blown dead to protect the QB from unabated defenders), and if not then than immediately after the snap. To have the play run, picked off, returned 100 plus yards, celebrations and jubilation, and THEN have some dufus side judge say "oh hey, yeah - I forgot to pull my flag but I think I saw a guy's foot in the neutral zone...der...let's flag I now."

Just SO incredibly frustrating. And then to go and miss the holding against Upshaw 2 plays later just adds to it.

Edit: Just went and rewatched the thing. The side judge did flag the infraction right away. It's not a call they blow dead.

Still though, refs suck!

That seam route pass to Givens was sick, was on a rope and on time....Mathews got some jumps, his TD catch was sweet as well....The defense just looked like the Ravens defense we are used to seeing, once they got Williams dialed in, he didn't do much in the 2nd half....City of Pit is in mourning...bah ha ha ha.....

Matthews also played great on special teams with downing punts and a great tackle on Antonio Brown. His TD catch was what our expectations were for Marlon Brown before the season began.

Lol snoop dogg is the nfl's biggest bandwagon fan smh, and I hope Antonio brown takes the money in the offseason to go to another team. And the steelers fans say we have dirty players look at James Harrison his intent was to injure Ryan Mallet because his team was getting embarrassed by a fourth string qb. Anyways we won and seeing them sad made my Christmas even better. Go Ravens and happy New Years Raven nation

More complaints about officiating ... at least this time it doesn't come in a loss. Still, I just don't get how our QBs can take hits that when, if we do the same thing, the flags come raining down and most certainly don't get picked up. Thank God Mallett didn't have his knee blown out by that dirt bag #92.

we need to be cheering for the Jets, Cleveland, and Denver for these last games to keep the Squeelas crying at home on the couch! The Bengals probably won't play their starters since they're already in the playoffs, and that should ensure a Broncos victory...assuming the Broncos play their starters.

I think that getting higher draft picks is an overrated advantage. If history serves, Ozzie probably trades his high first round pick for more picks in the later rounds. There's always a stupid team out there willing to salvage their future for 1 1st round pick (See Washington).

Not sold on Mallett until i see how the offseason goes. But he had a great game yesterday at the perfect time. We go down in the draft but thats fine. A good player or players will still be there. Snoop isnt worth discussing.

Maybe it'll help you forget you got ya butt handed to you yesterday by the Baltimore Ravens!  You aint in Kansas no more, Toto. You came to Ravens country...you aint know??  You betta ask somebody.   Don't you know anything about this rivalry?  It aint about laying down and playing dead.  You saying what you said Snoop, says a lot about your character.  It says "you're a quitter."  When times get tough, you're ready to give up and throw in the towel...the "terrible towel," that is.  lol

That is the Ryan Mallett that I watched at Arkansas and the Qb that filled in for Brady. He does have a cannon arm, but yesterday it was his accuracy that was darn good. We haven't seen that type of passing for a while. Hitting receivers in stride, throwing it where only the receiver can get it etc. I believe that we have found Joe's back up for a couple of years(if he keeps his head right). Got to give Matthews credit for "Going Up to catch a Ball"! He may have found a home also. GO RAVENS!

I'm not so sure. Yes, they're in the playoffs, but there is no guarantee that they don't have something to play for. Now, I realize that it requires the highly unlikely event that the Dolphins, who appear to have cashed it in for the year, will have to beat the Pats for any of it to matter. However, fans can think that way - but teams cannot.

Do the Bengals approach a game like it doesn't matter, because they anticipate an outcome from a different game? Maybe, but I'd be a little surprised. If they win tonight  - then a win next week combined with a Pats loss = #1 seed. If they lose tonight - then a win next week combined with a Pats loss = 1st round bye.

I can't imagine the odds much worse for Miami than they were for us going into the PIT game. Ask just about anyone and they'd have told you we also looked like we cashed it in for the year. What I think is that CIN will start the game at full-strength and will begin to pull starters as the game wears on, if they are either thrashing us or - if they look at the scoreboard and the Pats are thrashing the Dolphins.
